Burnley and that "Enger-land" thing.... again....

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Burnley and that "Enger-land" thing.... again....

Post by DB10GOONER »

Even Burnley are at it now. Burnley!! Dear God, do they really think that song upsets us? Really? :oops:

Or maybe they were just trying to encourage their own England internationals on the pitch... :wink:

Have to say, I f*cking love the "You need more foreigners" comeback. So simple, yet effective. Just like Ashley Cole.

Er... that should have read; "so simple, yet a dirty, mobile phone molesting, sexual degenerate, judas bitchcunt.". :P

sad people,
i love it when the arsenal are beating someone and they do that, makes them look really stupid :lol:
when you look at our team and think what england player could we sign
as opposed to what england player would you like to sign,
then theres prob none :roll:

DB, yet again, bang on the money. The 'you need more foreigners' riposte is brilliant, but this is something else I took from it;

The game was easily Burnley's biggest gate of the season, and how many of their fans actually gave them a chance against us? What I'm getting at here is, seeing as they clearly object to our foreigners so much, why did they pull so many fans through the door? Is it because many thought they'd win? Probably not. More likely, as the song goes, they'd only come to see the Arsenal.

This is what bothers me about small teams like Burnley who have a dig at us for our foreigners, because it is they who have paid the money to come and see them. All over the country, people want to pay money to watch us play (quite rightly) and then slag us off when we're beating them. Is there not a bit of hypocrisy there?

Oh well, still in four competitions. Everyone else needs more foreigners.
