Champions League Lottery
Does anyone know any details of this years Champions League Final Ticket Lottery? I have looked on the UEFA website but as of yet no mention of it. I assume it will go ahead as usual

Yes every year about ten thousand tickets are up for grabs. You have to go to the UEFA Website and lodge your application and give them your credit/debit cards details, if successful in the draw you get to buy tickets to he final. Obviously the draw takes place before you know which two teams will be contesting the final and therefore lots of tickets are then sold on ebay.

Well, that't the best kept secret in Europe out of the bag now then, isn't it Wayno...
Not to worry mate.
The story is you can apply for two tickets per person on the website. The seats are in a "neutral" UEFA stand in the stadium. I've been applying for those tickets with some mates for about five years, on the understanding that if we were lucky enough to get four we'd offer each other first option on the spares. Never got a sniff until 2006 when two of my mates got two each! So off to the Champions League final to watch the Arse we went.
I was on hols in Portugal when Jens saved that Peno late in the semi and I finally believed we'd be there.
It was an awesome feeling, knowing we'd be playing in the CL final and I'd actually be at it. Great piss up that night!

Like I said it looks as though UEFA have scrapped that idea

If UEFA have scrapped it, it is a shame, because it was an extra chance for fans to get tickets. And scumbag touts to rob us, unfortunately.
