Internal Solutions - Aneke released

Post by spendsum4uckingmoney »

So I GTBH I dont watch reserve games. Do we have any players in the youth ready?

Jenko, Gedion, Esifield, Gnabry oh and what happened to Jon Toral? The player that Barca were annoyed we took?

Any of these good enough and if not what do they lack?

I have seen a bit and will say which ones can possibly step up

Gnabry- There is absolutely nothing wrong with this kid stepping up and would have benefitted from spending the second half of last season at Swansea,Cardiff,Sunlun and possibly even Hughes version of Stoke. Picked those clubs because all are capable of playing it on the deck and would have happily taken a player that can play on the right and can handle himself physically. He is ready and should be be sub for Walcott next season.

Eisfeld- technically good, physically a bit weak needs a loans spell with a smaller club to get him ready or prep him for a sale. I think he will make it but not sure it will be with us.

Zelalem- Technically very good but is a complete lightweight and he attempts sh*t in the most stupid parts of the pitch and is a liability. The ability makes you think properly coached he can make it but :rubchin:

Jon Toral- will make it as the kid is good but I don't think we have the patience for it. Barcelona product so technically very good, comfortable on the ball but still not enough physical presence.

Dan Crowley is very good. We nicked this kid from Villa and if you watch him you can see why. But he is too young and should have been loaned back to them to allow him to develop as they are more likely to play him.

Jebb and Akpom should be given a chance as they are both good, especially Jebb. Akpom is a nuiscance to defenders and despite not being that tall, he can handle himself as he is quite built. A good eye for goal and a decent shot on him.

I've picked these names as the others haven't seen enough or done enough. Special mention for the keeper we had in the youth cup semis, he was from the same school as Flappy, some amazing reflex saves but then brain fart moments....suppose as he is young a decent goalie coach could possibly sort out the brain fart moments

Just realized you mentioned Jenko as well, needed another year under Sagna but  Looks like in at the deep end..think we are going to need a very disciplined holding player or Walcott's going to have to improve his defensive duties.

Been impressed with Gnabry this season, very direct and provides a much-needed injection of pace. Eisfeld has impressed me when he's had the odd appearance in the Beer Cup but obviously there is a reason he hasn't had a first-team chance - not least because we're not really lacking for players in that role.

Jenko isn't ready to be first-choice and start 40-50 games a season imo.

Gnabry needs a loan. Jenko is a good squad player but nothing more at the minute. The rest are either too young or haven't proved themselves as being good enough for us.

We are fucking stacked to the brim with 'internal solutions'

There isn't a team out there who will exhaust the 'internal market' better than us this Summer

SteveO your posts are mildly amusing sometimes BUT it wouldn't hurt if you are not going to add anything constructive to a debate to just keep your counsel. :rubchin:

No offence but some days you almost sound like a scum infiltrator......as I said no offence

No, sorry. SteveO's ability to construct a sentence renders that possibility subatomically small.

Chuks Aneke

Could be a decent option as a sub.
powerful, strong, direct and an eye for goal with midfield runs.

Joel Campbell

I expect him to be used wide left, cutting inside with pace for a shot.

Isaac Hayden

Like to see more of him in defensive midfield, seen very little.

I thught everyone in our squad was supposed to be the next big thing. That's allegedly been the reason we have not gone out and bought big players.

"Sometimes we have to look at the solution inside the club"

Where have I heard that before :rubchin: :rubchin: :rubchin:
