Arsenal will get their pre-season campaign underway with a friendly match away to Conference South side Boreham Wood FC on Saturday, July 19 (kick-off 3pm).
A first-team squad will travel to Meadow Park for the match, with a number of senior players expected to feature. A new 890-seat West Stand at Boreham Wood FC will be officially opened before kick-off by representatives from both clubs.
The FA Cup trophy will also be present to mark the occasion.
Tickets priced at £22 (seating), £18 (standing) and £14 (concession standing) are available now from Boreham Wood FC. Call 020 8953 5097 or click here to book.

Wonder which senior players will turn up....... :rubchin:

19 days is more than enough for Sanchez to rest
Just kidding, probably a bunch of youngsters with a few seniors (Arteta,Diaby-if that grass is safe enough) just to sell those mighty 890 tickets :)
But what does FA Cup have to do with this? Why present it there? :rubchin:

Presumably because it's the type of summer match that lots of parents will take their kids to and it gives them a chance to see the cup.

I don't see much wrong with it.

A £22 friendly against non-league opposition in July, and yet you just know it will still be a better day out than the Community Shield at Wembley.

Will the recently unemployed Dim Tim be managing our opposition?

And the man in the back said everyone attack cos they come from Borehamwood,Borehamwood !

Solid Arsenal area with many good lads that used to go home and away in a minibus or coach for the larger games in the 70's and 80's !

And one of them was me! Mate's dad owned a van rental company so we used to get a free minibus that picked us up outside an Off-License! Those were the days. Live about 500 yards from the ground, but flying out on holiday on that day so won't be there to welcome all our new signings!

Can't make this one, but had a very enjoyable family day out here for the friendly two years ago...and the experience turned my then 6-year old into a confirmed lifelong Gooner :barscarf:

Like Simon says it's for the "kids".

We have to trap them into the Arsenal early before they turn bad and start supporting successful teams.

We can't have that now can we, :barscarf:
