The Pre-Season Friendly Games Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The Pre-Season Friendly Games Thread

Arsenal team to play Thierry Henry

Szczesny, Jenkinson, Hayden, Monreal, Gibbs, Arteta, Wilshere, Zelalem, Ramsey, Cazorla, Rosicky

Anybody with any sense realises these games are purely about fitness, though it's still quite funny to see 6 central midfielders and 3 full backs in the team :barscarf:

Don't know what sort of formation he is hoping to carve out of that line-up but watching Monreal try and avoid and tackling, physical contact or general responsibility at centre-half isn't my cup of tea. If I want to see a nubile Spaniard getting brutally fucked there are better websites.

As an aside, pretty funny watching big Sam and the Hammers getting done by Wellington and Sydney in their cut price tour.

Loving watching Henry strutting. Are we playing with a forward or is it 4-6-0?

Milan are the Leeds of Italy now. I think we won't see them in top echelon of European football for a long time.

Arsenal's facebook update Saturday night -

Goal for New York Red Bulls. Bradley Wright-Phillips prods home inside the six-yard box after Arsenal fail to clear an Henry corner 0-1 (33)

14,580 people like this.

14 and a half thousand "fans" liked that. I don't know why I do it to myself by reading the comments that go up after every update because you are dealing with some plebs on there. There's some low forms of life lurking about on there.
