Giroud Out - Four Months and counting...

Post by SPUDMASHER »

Our only real striker is out now until early December (In Arsenal terms that is early February) so we definitely now need to go into the market and buy one before the end of the week. Naturally we won't do that as we have Sonogoals, Sanchez and Podolski in the squad and Walcott coming back will be 'like a new signing'.

I thought Giroud made a difference on Saturday when he came on and he took his goal really well. We'll miss what he brings to the team, especially his ability to hold the ball for the oncoming midfielders.

A huge, huge, huge blow.

I guess we have been pushing him and pushing him over the past season or two and he has been lucky with injuries - but given his all-round contribution to the team / squad this is not good news.

What the fuck did Wenger think would happen? He plays every minute of every game, it was bound to happen at some point.

If Giroud is out for three months, and if Wenger doesn't sign a quality replacement, then he should be committed.

Cavani, Jackson Martinez or Higuian should be signed on Thursday and in the squad for Sunday.

There is no excuse.

What if OBG wasn't a dwarf?

ifs, buts, coconuts. Doesn't make a difference who it is but we need a TOP striker.

do you reckon City might lend us a striker for when they play us in a couple of weeks time?
it does seem a bit unfair that they have Aguero, Dzeko and Jovetic whereas our main striker is now Sanogo WHO HAS YET TO SCORE A COMPETITIVE GOAL FOR US!!!!!!!!!

It really is fucking ridiculous. How can he not see we need a solid centre half, defensive midfielder and a top striker? Don't worry all, Campbell and Sanogo will be the saviours of our title challenging season. Oh and Walcott will be like a new signing even though he's a winger. :barscarf:
