Getting away credits

Post by nut flush gooner »

After the farce of last season with the cup final ballot, we have decided to try and get to a few away games this season.

Having kept an eye on the Everton and Leicester games it didn't go below a 10 credit requirement to purchase tickets. Bit worrying as these aren't our main away games of the season.

Does anyone know if there will be any chance of getting to an away game in the league this season with no credits? Or is it a case of hoping we get a few away draws in the worthless cup?

Sunderland and sometimes Newcastle might be your best bets, especially if they end up being unhelful days or times. The cup and league cup are also good options but depend on who we get and when.

I'm not sure but Sunderland away (October) probably your best chance? Although it's Saturday 3pm which will probably make it slightly more enticing. Stoke away in December probably not an overly-popular trip too. No idea about European ties but Galatasaray away as our final CL group game and potential dead rubber?

After that can't see anything attainable (in the league) until potentially Newcastle away on 21st March weekend. Speaking of which, does anybody have any idea when Sky will release their fixtures up until the end of March? I'm desperate to do that game and will be able to get a ticket and I'm happy to book Friday + Monday off work to cover early Saturday or Sunday kick-off but I can't book flights yet as could get stitched up with a Monday night kick-off :banghead:

Sunderland / Newcastle away will probably drop down. If the season goes belly up others will start to filter down lower than usual as well. Also look for Cup games away with the higher allocations.

I started doing that a 4-5 years back and am now able to get tickets at least to Midlands games.
