Jonas Gutierrez diagnosed with cancer

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Jonas Gutierrez diagnosed with cancer

Post by officepest »

Newcastle's Gutierrez has had an operation after finding a tumour on his bollocks. I've seen him interviewed a couple of times and he comes across as a decent bloke, hope he has a speedy recovery.

Best wishes to the guy - I always liked his attitude and personality on the pitch and I thought that he was a good player for the geordies until pardew fcuked him out

Get well soon.
John Hartson recovered from death's door so there is hope.

My Dad had it in the late 70s and survived fine.
Bob Champion also had it and is fine.

Cancer of the bollock is actually a disease of younger men, relatively rarer over 50 unlike most other cancers.

Survival these days is into the 80-90% who survive 5 years and most go onto live normal lives. The treatment for this sort of cancer is exceedingly effective, thank goodness.

So check your bollocks today (Rodders 2 or 3 times  ) you know it makes sense.

Evil bastard of a disease

I feel sorry for anyone that has it in whatever form it might manifest itself.
