Was anyone else on the 19:52 Eurostar out of Brussels on Thurs?
As youll know was severely delayed.
I could of sworn the announcer on train said we would be able to claim 50% off that return journey?? Could anyone verify? Only the email just recieved from Eurostar is offering discount off future journey or 12.5% compo off the return journey??

If you're delayed 60 - 119 minutes you are entitled to a free one-way journey or 50% refund for a return journey that can be claimed up to one year after the event. Don't bother until next week though as the ETCS system will not have updated the mainframe for at least 72 hours and Eurostar won't have the details in their system. You'll need the original ticket to claim the refund.
If the delay was longer then the compensation increases significantly but in any instance will not be more than the original cost of your journey.
Working in the rail industry for the company that keeps Eurostar running makes me a very sad individual when it comes to this type of knowledge.
Brand New Eurostar trains are coming into service next year. They've been built by our company and putting all bias to one side I have to say that they are stunning.
