Next few games.

Post by Chippy »

We have a fairly interesting run of games up until the scum on Feb 7th. How many points will we get from those 7 games?

Arsenal v QPR Fri 26 Dec 17:30

West Ham v Arsenal Sun 28 Dec 15:00

Southampton v Arsenal Thu 1 Jan 15:00

FA Cup - Third Round
Arsenal v Hull Sun 4 Jan 17:30

Premier League
Arsenal v Stoke Sun 11 Jan 13:30

Man City v Arsenal Sun 18 Jan 16:00

Arsenal v Aston Villa Sun 1 Feb 13:30

Tottenham v Arsenal Sat 7 Feb 12:45

I know some hate these polls but others like me love em.

I reckon we'll get 2 wins and a draw losing 4 (inc the scum sadly)! And be mid table.

3 wins, Orcs (Home) often win at home v them, QPR and Villa (I know last season....)
1 draw or possibly 2, either v scum or Saints, rest losses. Shammers could really inflict harm, Downing and Carrol if fit could get 4 or 5

How many points do we get if we beat Hull in the FA cup :?: we need every point we can get.

This seasons been the most painful for years, possibly since Neil/ Howe even , the hope of kicking on from last year and improving injury wise with the Physio of the world coming gave me false hope

How many of those 4 away games do we fancy? 0 for me, probably a point at West Ham and same at Scum. 7 at home. That makes 9 for any retards out there.

same here pretty much - P7 W2 D2 L3 - 8 points from 21 is consistent with our form in 17 games.

w - villa, qpr
d - stoke, soton
L- west ham, city, spuds.

following the west ham game, we'll be half way through our season and after 19 games be :

P19 W8 D6 L5 - just 8 wins in 19 games - 42% - push that out to May and we have 60pts - enough this year likely for 7th - last year it would have been 8th but, with everyone else but the top two dropping points i think 6th or 7th is about right.

this far into the season and the table doesn't lie.

Wins vs QPR, either WH or Southampton, Stoke, Villa and Spurs.
Draw vs either WH or Southampton.
Absolute battering vs Man City.

We'll beat Hull and with a kind draw in the Fourth Round we'll win that as well.

We're crap but the challengers for fourth aren't much either, so I'm sure history will repeat itself and we'll win the VT. I doubt we'll get near the semis of the Cup though.

i don't get it. why do people think we'll win at west ham ?????

1. its fat sam.
2. they are 4 points above us and playing well - they've been in top six since September....
3. they are unbeaten in their last six home games, conceding only two against - and that run includes wins against Swansea and City.

i'm looking for reasons why we should be confident here chaps ?

Because they haven't beaten us in nearly 8 years.

true, but we're breaking all sorts of records this year - lowest points total since 1982, most attempts given away, least possession.

i'm going to be shocked if they rollover.

In an ideal world Sanchez would be rested against relegation fodder QPR so as to help acclimatize him to this frenetic winter period he isn't used to, but seeing as we're absolute sh*t Wenger will play him 90+ minutes with a view to saving his job.

12pts in my opinion - I agree pretty much with steve except that I think we will draw at the shammers.
