It's consistent with the English attitude towards the game, even after the 'PASHUN and leg-breaker tackles' style of play has shown to be absolutely shit on the world stage for about half a century. Fancy dan football is to be derided, not learnt from.

As for the BBC, their coverage is getting absurdly bad, just as Sky's is really coming into its own. Whatever you think about Carragher and G. Neville, they put the hours into their analysis and do it properly, TH as well. They all sound like they know what they're talking about. The BBC just try to use a 'lads in the pub' atmosphere and it's cringeworthy.
