Chav$ to win PL at AG? / Atmos at Highbury
Can someone who's good at maths work it all out please? It's gotta be a real possibility now?

Re: Chelsea to win the league at AG?
was worried about this myself, have been for some time
. but I secured myself in the thought that we've aready won the league at sb twice in the thirties. if they start crowing about it we can dig that shit out from the archives

Certainly better than the odds of us winning it at AG.

Nah, The Saints get at least a draw tomorrow and we go on to win The Double

Re: Chelsea to win the league at AG?
As with most things in life, it depends. But it's a very real possibility.
Just did a quick predictor thingy and this is what I got;
Chelsea:
v Southampton - W
v Hull - W
v Stoke - W
v QPR - W
v Man U - W
-----
City:
v WBA - W
v Palace - D
v Man U - L
v West Ham - W
v Villa - W
-----
The Arsenal:
v Newcastle - D
v Liverpool - W
v Burnley - D
v Sunderland - W
----
If that's how it plays out, the table will look like this when we play Chelsea;
Chelsea - Pl 32 / 78 pts
City - Pl 34 / 68 pts
The Arsenal - Pl 33 / 65 pts
So, if that's the case then yes, a win for them will win the league at our place. Like I said, it all depends on lots of things that are very unpredictable. It is on the assumption that they win all of their games and that we drop points in games that are winnable. All of City's games are winnable, too - and if they win theirs, then we are in no danger.
But fuck all of this. Remember when we used to talk about us winning the league?!

And to think some people claim that this forum is just full of pessimists!!

Re: Chelsea to win the league at AG?
Only match we're possibly dropping any points in that four is the victims at home. Don't see them winning and can easily see united, stoke or soton getting points off them lot so we should just avoid it.T.S wrote:As with most things in life, it depends. But it's a very real possibility.

Re: Chelsea to win the league at AG?
As far as I can make out for us to stop them - we would have to match their results up to the game ie they have 5 games we have 3. If they win all theirs we have to win all ours. If they draw 1 we can draw 1 etc.
For Shitty to stop them they have 5 games before our match at Grove. If Chelsea win all theirs Shitty need 11 points from possible 15. If Chelsea draw 1 they need 9 from 15 etc.
The above is based on the assumption that Chelsea get all 3 points at the Grove.
Hopefully if they come to our place with a chance of winning the league, the manager the players and the fans can create enough passion, resilience, mental strength, moxy to stop that from happening

At odds of 5,700/1 if you put it into a Paddy power calculator thing.Gunner Rob wrote:Fuck that the treble is still onEboue-Why? wrote:Nah, The Saints get at least a draw tomorrow and we go on to win The Double![]()

Far too many complications and variables involved here to be worrying about this just yet.
