West Ham reduce Season Ticket Prices

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

West Ham reduce Season Ticket Prices

Pretty obvious why, they would never sell out a bigger stadium with Arsenal type pricing. Nevertheless, it will be interesting to see if the more expensive clubs follow suit.

Even if others do we won't.

I said on another thread recently that it comes down to supply and demand. We are massively over subscribed with waiting lists on all levels of membership. They could put prices up and the stadium will still be sold out.

Cant disagree with you to be honest, you can change supermarkets but not football clubs!

Arsenal's response to West Ham lowering prices:

"We have already announced ticket prices are being frozen for the 2015-16 season and we continue to drive a number of initiatives which provide tens of thousands of tickets priced between £10 and £26 across a season. It is also important to remember our season-ticket package includes 26 matches"

Hardly surprising tbh, they will get rid of Fat Sam in the Summer, they need to attract new fans to the club.

It's funny because I signed the wife up a few (almost 10) years to a red membership and the season ticket waiting list - I renewed it for a couple of seasons but gave up after that, yet they rang her last week offering her the chance to buy a season ticket for next season  Not expecting her to get a call back from them again though cos she decided that she was going to try and negotiate the price with them before turning them down

Apparently, they've asked current season ticket holders to put a deposit of £75 down to guarantee their season ticket for next season otherwise they'll lose it. Im sure I heard on 606 with wrighty on Sunday. They needed some good publicity after the farce that is fat Sam's contract situation.

They have to match the ticket prices of the other rugby clubs in the area.

As others have said, it won't do anything for prices in the rest of the league. They're going to be the only club in the PL where supply is far greater than demand.

Don't know much about the stadium conversion apart from the movable seating and the fact that I've had to pay towards it :banghead: . Are they putting in corporate boxes etc? Good luck selling them if they are.
