John Cross's Book - "Arsene Wenger"

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

John Cross's Book - "Arsene Wenger"

Post by QuartzGooner »

Published 17 September
"Arsene Wenger - The Inside Story of Arsenal Under Wenger"

Has anyone read a preview copy?

In the pre-publicity, Cross claims the club had a week in 2003 - 2004 when they could barely pay the players' salaries, because the new stadium was eating up our money.

There have been at least ten serious books about Wenger and his time at the club, not least by Gooner.Ed, Myles Palmer, Amy Lawrence etc.

Would be interested to know when people have read this one and what they think.

But, but, but, Wenger built the new stadium with his own hands didn't he?

I'm surprised Cross had his tongue out of Wenger's hole long enough to find the time to write a book

Read it?? I wouldn't wipe my arse with it.

I got half way through the Amy Lawrence book Invincible's book before having to set it down in favour of my Uni exams. Can't say I'm a big fan of reading about over hyped Wenger bollocks.

I would rather thrust a burning red hot poker up my jap's eye than read this shit, let alone even contemplate buying it!

So we 'nearly' run out of money just before the stadium move... yeah right...  Funny how this wasn't mentioned at the time!!! Has that crock of shit been made up to put Wenger's frugal ways in a better light? :? :?

Anyway, I hope just like Alan Partridge's book 'Bouncing Back' that this cowpat of a book bombs and is pulped within weeks although I very much doubt it as that cretin John Cross plugs it at every opportunity going, the 'man' with no shame.

Did I happen to say that I quite dislike him?

We nearly ran out of money? Absolute fucking horseshit. :blah:

I'd imagine it took this long for Cross to release the fucking thing as he was trying to find some way to claim that Arsene ran into a burning orphanage and single-handedly carried 52 babies to safety. The fucking awesome hero that he is. 8)

I would rather fuck FwankSav in his shit-streaked Ewok ass with no condom whilst French kissing Kerry Katona's rancid unwashed baby-ejector than read it.

I heard someone refer to him (Cross) as “Crossy” on the radio last night. :suicide:

I wouldn’t be surprised if this bollocks about being ‘cash-strapped’ has been deliberately put out there as misinformation to get Wenger even more credit for his ‘performance’ post-move.

I would rather be stuck in hell for eternity with only Crime and Punishment to lecture me than give credence to Cross as an author. In fact, I would rather read Mein Kampf until my eyes burst with rage than anything written by this arse.
