Coquelin signed?

Post by QuartzGooner »

Supposedly we have signed 17 year old French defensive midfielder Francis Coquelin from Laval.

Suppose he will be known as "Coq Au Vin"?

French Gun, what do you know about him?

Is the "Long name dude" Clement Chantome..he is a defensive midfielder for PSG, 6 ft tall. Had a good write ups this year but I have never even seen a clip of him, guess he would be Flamini's replacement?

Chantome already has a Wikipedia entry but it looks like somebody has been doing some naughty editing. :D

Good that we got another youngster for the future but shouldn't we be going for experience right about now?

that doesn't mean we should stop signin youngsters, how do you predict how many of the few promising teenage midfielders that we do have will actually make the grade???

these players obviously aren't in place of experienced signings, Wenger does this every season, buys some youngsters for the youth team which he sees will be great for the future and good investments. There will still be other signings, he isn't intending on just buying 17 year olds to play. Relax everyone trust in Arsene

Coquelin signs loan deal with L'Orient

Post by QuartzGooner »

Francis Coquelin has signed for L'Orient on a season long loan. Makes me think that centre back Laurent Koscielny will be heading the other way soon enough, on a permanent deal.
Be interesting to see if Coquelin plays at right back or defensive midfield, or both?
