Arsenal Transfer Ban

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Arsenal Transfer Ban

Post by Ikechukwu1 »

Plenty of credible sources claiming FIFA have confirmed this will come.
I can't even begin to imagine just how fucked this club would be if this was enforced. We don't sign players when it's open so this would be a Godsend for Wenger. Fair play to FIFA, saving us from "dizzying prices"

Makes a mockery of the AKB mantra about "doing things the right way"

Look on the bright side.

We won't have to needlessly get our hopes up reading the transfer thread.

Meh.

Wenger got his retaliation in first by applying a self-imposed transfer ban in the summer. Plus, at least we will now be able to blood some of our world-envied youth prospects . . . :tumbleweed:

To add:

Perhaps we'll see an early recall for a certain on loan oxygen-rapist-cum-almost-postman.

It's all good.

Surely if we've broken some rules we should actually be punished? A transfer ban would be roundly welcomed at this sham club by the 3 stooges. Wonka, Stan and Ivan would do the conga around the room if ever an embargo was placed on AFC....apologies PLC signing players. No, fine the vermin 40-50 million quid, that's the only way to hurt those treacherous bastards.

Anyway it gives the apologists another ready made excuse for the next couple of years of failure under Le Bell End, so It's win win in Mongsville this morning :barscarf:

Yes a Newspaper Deportivo Mundial has called for a ban on us , we should be quaking in out boots !
Barca were given plenty of time to get their spending done before they received their ban and It's yet to be decided if and when Real will face their ban ( probably when it suits them ) !
Cant see it myself ,lets face it there's been rumours about us being involved in illegal activities with minors since 1996 but nothings stuck !

Cant understand why Gooners would be blaise about this  IF it happened under le cock, then he and the board would have the perfect excuse for not spending - yes I know that we don't spend as is, but it is the lack of spending that is at the core of any public criticism le cock is facing from the fans and the media, so if you take that away then he would have a free pass from any criticism
A worse scenario (I think) would be if any ban was enforced when a new manager joined us - any half decent manager would want to offload most of the dross le cock has accumulated, but he would be stuck with what he has and that aint good. Can you imagine the fuss the akb will raise if the new manager wasn't winning trophies straight away

That wanker Wenger brought it on himself, banging on about drug cheats in football,

The result of which a 10 strong Fifa drugs team turns up at the training ground

FIFA won't do us any favours, if they can do something against Arsenal they will, although not sure about the credibility of this story

Wenger is a deluded meddlesome wanker always got an opinion on everything else except his teams issues

how much dis repute has he brought on our glorious club

FUCK OFF WENGER, KRONKE and GAZADIS

A transfer ban would be a reward to our skinflint Old Fraud, not a punishment. Still, it makes no difference, the way club has been run these past several years. If anything, it would cancel out any stress we supporters have about the January transfer window. Who could forget that glorious January when we signed... Thomas Eisfeld?

I suppose one 'positive' would be that if we're in serious trouble holding on to our fourth place trophy in 6-7 weeks, Wenger won't be able to sign anyone to save his bacon, as he did in 08-09.

Abandon all hope ye who enter The Arsenal.

Something else to blame for our failure to challenge in the big competitions AND an excuse not to spend any money.

I can imagine Wenger saying in 2022 "zis transfer ban, eet set the club back maybe 4 or 5 years" :banghead:

By the way did anybody else see his flippant remarks about how these accusations about him being miserly aren't true because he spends loads of money when he's out with family and friends. So fucking childish and smarmy, the guy is a laughing stock and so are we.
