Gooner podcast
any idea when the December podcast will be up?
Re: Gooner podcast
Shock! Horror! Someone on the Gooner forum makes a reference to the Gooner Podcast!
They have left it late this month, haven't they? According to the Twatter feed, they recorded it last night. Not sure why it wasn't online this morning then. Oh well, not long to wait

Re: Gooner podcast
Still not online yet
I can take or leave ABW. Gimli and Danny seem to be realists on The Old Fraud, but rarely mention it on podcasts. I remember having banter with Danny on the Online Arsenal forums when Sir Tony Adams was managing Gabala in Azerbaijan.
FK and Kris are wedged up TOF's arse. I despise those cunnts. I also get annoyed at Danny reading off reams of stats and passing them off as 'insight' and yet he knows the score and should give a fucking opinion in isolation from stats. Plus fuck all the 'scores on the doors' shite; I can't give a fuck about anything other then the senior side, sad to say (given that fuck all genuine Arsenal has come through since Wilshere and Cole) and fuck updates on Kris' crap Sunday league side too. He probably follow TOF's style of saying fuck all to the players and only flaps his arms at the referee, which is why his team is so shit.
I'm waiting with bated breath for the Gooner Podcast, mate

Re: Gooner podcast
I just listened to it there, and one particular point made really irritated me, When it was suggested that the anti-Wenger supporters have been silenced by the position we are in at the moment. Of course when it was pointed out to the contributor that this is the 4th time in recent years that we have been in such a position around Christmas, he had no response. This sums the AKB attitude up perfectly, slag everyone off for being wrong, but come May when our title challenge has long been extinguished, just forget about it and pretend we have achieved something by being in the top 4.
Re: Gooner podcast
I am surprised to still hear AKBs on the Gooner Podcast.
How many fucking times does the Highbury Spy change his mind about The Old Fraud? How many times does he clear his throat during a podcast? If we had a drinking game for those, we'd be dead half-way through the podcast.
I don't think Ollington was the best host; doesn't have the voice for it. I wonder why Oudot doesn't host any more. Whitcher is excellent as always and should be more than just a supersub.

Re: Gooner podcast
F*ck me that Begkamp Wonderland podcast is just a Wenger apologist association

Re: Gooner podcast
Yeah, I don't listen much to it anymore. It's too fucking long and self indulgent. It's either AKBs talking shite or WOBs acting like AKBs; the doublespeak is rife.IW8Goalmachine wrote:F*ck me that Begkamp Wonderland podcast is just a Wenger apologist association
I listened to Time Added On from ArsenalFanTV (I know, but ignore the caricatures) last night after the match and the blokes on there were just as frustrated as most of us on here. It was cathartic to listen to, despite the despair of this endless cycle our seasons go though now.

The Arsecast is more entertaining and irreverent http://arseblog.com/arsecasts/

It's just the muffled sound of Mr. Blog

For further deniers (in general), listen to footballtasically Arsenal. It's a riot of denial of evidence.

Totally agree Kev is the best host - he has the gravitas (which I really don't/didn't).
I really enjoyed this months podcast - one of the best in a long while.

Sidekick Josh really has his tongue wedged up TOF's arse, doesn't he? He openly said a while back that we 'have to' tolerate TOF's failings so we can 'enjoy' his continued presence at our clubarseofacrow wrote:![]()

I'm a bit disappointed in Boyd backing away from being identified as a WOB, even though he points out the absurdity of these repetitive seasons under TOF.
They just have a bunch of random people appearing on it now (mostly AKB) - Occasional recurring guests (Gareth Parker loves the sound of his own voice, don't he? And such a snob as well) are not very remarkable, but it's always a treat to hear a WOB appear on there and tell it like it is, if only to piss off Josh. It's a shame that Dan Baldwin and Ben Winston don't appear on it anymore. It was strange that Dermot O'Leary was billed to be on the podcast from the very beginning, then made hardly any appearances on it at all.
Are you not appearing on the pod at all now?marcus_tandy wrote:Totally agree Kev is the best host - he has the gravitas (which I really don't/didn't).

Great recommendation with the Tuesday Club

Re: Gooner podcast
I had missed that Gooner Podcast 144 came out on February 9th. It sounds like Marc is done with the podcast altogether.
I don't like this idea that the host isn't 'allowed' to express an opinion, which is probably why that 'Owdott' fella doesn't host any more. I don't see why Kevin shouldn't host the podcast permanently anyway.
And what is with those nutters that usually have their own forum on the comments section? An endless WOB-AKB civil war. Don't they know there's a forum on the site already?
They should get Alan Alger on the podcast, he also occasionally appears on Footballistically Arsenal and is a 'Wenger Realist' which automatically makes him a great guest.

Re: Gooner podcast
I just listened to this months Gooner podcast, and it was the worse addition I have ever heard. They had an AKB on, who came out with the usual bullshit, "Wenger deserves credit for all the years he has kept us in the Champions league". "There is far too much negativity around the club". He also went on to say, he thinks we can win the league next season. Not one of his idiotic comments was responded to by any of the other contributors. They spent most of the podcast talking about Britain's potential exit from the E.U. and whether that could impact on Arsenal. There were far more important issues to discuss, such as Wenger's future, and the fans right to protest, but instead it was this weak bullshit.
