Ticket Sales Getting Out Of Hand
Ticket Sales Getting Out Of Hand
Being a life long gooner I am a regular reader of the online gooner but somewhat lacking in my postings although I have copies of The Gooner fanzine Issues 1- 181 in vgc in their respective binders.
The thing that is getting up my nose at the moment is the influx of people demanding tickets.
Today for example someone is begging for tickets for the Manure game in Aprill.
Same people asking for tickets for every game.
Forgive me but yes it is a good way for getting rid of unwanted tickets at face value keeping the touts away from our beautifil game.
Ok yes I am a season ticket holder but that doesn't stop me from not getting tickets for games that i won't to go to.
Fans these days are just buying tickets to get the credits thats why there are a few hundred going spare every game.
Recently a so called fan advertised tickets on E-Bay for the Newcastle,Middlesborough and Blackburn away games. He sold all 3 tickets for 25 squid stating in his ad that he solely wanted the credits.
I notified the box office of this but as expected, no reply.
I expect people will be asking for champions league final tickets by the end of the month.

the thing with arsenal is the club has created this behaviour. the club has allowed people to make themselves members for such a long period of time and basically ring fenced some fans out. it true whther some like to admit it or not.
take me for example. i am a member of a supporters club who gain tickets for every home game and a few away games. whilst i am a member i am not earning my own credits and it would not be possible for me to buy a ticket at arsenal unless i want to travel with the supporters coach. so this prevents me from getting tickets to the big games.
but on the other hand i am a travel club member with minimum credit. therefore i rely on games going to my level to get tickets. thats why people (and i will do the same) get tickets for every away game regardless of them actually going to get the credits.
the only way to prevent this is to make memberships and season ticket an annual arrangement and let others apply each season. no priority given to existing members etc etc.
some will argue i've been a season ticket holder 15 years and it's not fair for them and i completely agree, but we either do that or live with the way things are.
Dog eat dog sprngs to mind.

Hi guys - im from RSA and just wondering if you guys could give me the hard facts about Arsenal tickets.
Are they Really 99% sold out for most games?
How , if I visit family in London , would I be able to get tickets to see my first Arsenal Game Live - all be it against any opposition as long as its at home?
How long is the Season Ticket Holder list really?
Lastly whats the "credits" story everyone is mentioning?
Thanx guys for putting up with my NoobieNess

Not easy when you first come to THOF, away tickets are given on credits to reward the fans who travel most, i feel if you done away with the credit system it would penalise more people than it would help, there is an easy way to get on the credit ladder if you are serious about going to all away games get an away season ticket you only need to be a travel club member to obtain one.Gunner152 wrote:the thing with arsenal is the club has created this behaviour. the club has allowed people to make themselves members for such a long period of time and basically ring fenced some fans out. it true whther some like to admit it or not.

i want an away season ticket for next season, but i don't know how or where to apply. a lnk would be great or an address to send an application letter etc etcgasman wrote:Not easy when you first come to THOF, away tickets are given on credits to reward the fans who travel most, i feel if you done away with the credit system it would penalise more people than it would help, there is an easy way to get on the credit ladder if you are serious about going to all away games get an away season ticket you only need to be a travel club member to obtain one.Gunner152 wrote:the thing with arsenal is the club has created this behaviour. the club has allowed people to make themselves members for such a long period of time and basically ring fenced some fans out. it true whther some like to admit it or not.

dont have a link but it is dealt with by the box office, you only pay match by match not for the whole season up frontGunner152 wrote:i want an away season ticket for next season, but i don't know how or where to apply. a lnk would be great or an address to send an application letter etc etcgasman wrote:Not easy when you first come to THOF, away tickets are given on credits to reward the fans who travel most, i feel if you done away with the credit system it would penalise more people than it would help, there is an easy way to get on the credit ladder if you are serious about going to all away games get an away season ticket you only need to be a travel club member to obtain one.Gunner152 wrote:the thing with arsenal is the club has created this behaviour. the club has allowed people to make themselves members for such a long period of time and basically ring fenced some fans out. it true whther some like to admit it or not.

According to the club, yes, but sometimes the stadium is not full so the attendance is not always accurate. If a season-ticket holder doesn't visit a Premiership game, he is still counted in attendanceAre they Really 99% sold out for most games?
You need to get a red membership, you can buy tickets after that; the membership costs £30 a seasonHow , if I visit family in London , would I be able to get tickets to see my first Arsenal Game Live - all be it against any opposition as long as its at home?
I dunno, it is very long, though. Propably around 38,000How long is the Season Ticket Holder list really?
You get them for visiting away gamesLastly whats the "credits" story everyone is mentioning?
