General questio on reselling football tickets

Post by the playing mantis »

So got 4 tickets for the eng/wales match at the euros amongst others this summer. now none of us really wanted to watch england anyway, so looking into possibility flogging them. whats the best way? i always thought reselling was illegal?

looking at certain sites they are about £400 each currenlty. we will watch for that, but if they start going for silly money and people are willing to pay we will seriously consider selling

anyone have expereicne in such things?

thanks

see how desperate we get!

but the thought of all the ingerlund fans added to the ambivalance of cheering on the greatest england team in history (well with all these scum stars it is apparently...) and the inevitable trouble there will be we really are not that keen on going. sure it will be an expereince but if we can get 800+ for each i think we would all sell in a heartbeat, but its a question of how. i suppose selling them in france in person, (effectively as a scalper) is not the best way! although it could get the best price...

People who resell tickets for profit are the scum of the earth imo. I had 2 spares for the Bayern Munich away game earlier this season and sold them to two gooners who I had never met before, in Munich for face value.

It's bad enough being fleeced by football clubs as it is, this sort of thing just adds insult to injury.

I would be inclined to agree - when it comes to football and certainly Arsenal games anyway.

If I won a pair of Beyonce tickets or something then I wouldn't have any qualms selling them at a filthy mark-up.

That's a bit of a shit attitude mate. :(

I know that's how touts justify their miserable selfish lives but they know full well they're often preventing a genuine fan from buying at face value through the legal channels.

Tickets are hard enough to come by as it is but it's even harder when the internet is full of people buying tickets to big events with no intention of going and every intention of exploiting others by selling on for a huge profit.

It's hardly the worst crime as mankind do far worse things to each other than rip each other off but its still a scummy thing to do and I'm sure you know it.

not at all. as i said we wil go to the game unless someone offers silly money if someone wants to pay big money to go on out place we will flog them. so not the same a a tout as we bought tickets with full intention of going as i originally stated, unluckliy we got ingerlund. and still i said we would go unless some clown wants to waste there money.

attending a meanginless international group game isnt life and death. if some one has too much money than sense so be it. its not selling anything important.

to us an ingerlund game is less appealing than a beyonce concert

Why buy a ticket then?

Loads of Wales and NI fans who had gone to loads of games for years missed out on tickets, so I can't imagine how many England fans there must have been.

There are far worse things in the world than touting but as a self-respecting football fan it's not something I would like to sink to.

its a ballot you dont choose the games they choose you. all we know is we get group x y z etc n certain cities, then the draw happens and you get the teams. its luck of the draw.

if people on here got tickets to a neutral game that they had little interest in and were offered lots of money to sell i wonder what they would do?

maybe we shouldnt sell then, if people really think its touting even though tickets not bought with intention to sell.

I'd rather see an Adele concert any day than have to suffer an England match. 8)

Sorry this is a plumb draw for both England and Wales. It's been years since Wales could put out a team that could compete and beat England. It's the equivalent of a CAT A game at Arsenal.

Sadly through the responses you have given on this thread I suspect you where looking to buy tickets for a big game at the Euros to sell on. You got it, well done - but don't come on here and expect any self respecting football fan to think you are anything but utter prick for trying to cash in.

Yeah alright that's clearly obvious that was my dastardly plan all along...you should have heard the cheers when ingerlund wales was pulled out, couldnt believe our luck all our Christmases come early... so clear was this our intention and keen to do it that I even asked for advice on how to go about it on a low traffic special interest forum with who would clearly be a mine of information...not to mention changing channel tunnel dates and booking extra night in hotels just so we could stay the extra day in france and enjoy our I'll gotten gains...facking hell...oh and nut flash u would know about utter pricks based on your previous on this forum.

Jeez.
