Arsenal TV

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Arsenal TV

Post by Eboue-Why? »

Got to thinking the other day, Chavs/Scousers/ ManUre all have their own TV channel and it made me wonder whether it's something we've looked at and decided not to do? With The Board's obsession with money, I can only assume it can't be a major money spinner

We had one a few years back with Setanta Sports but it vanished when that went tits up and the club realised that nobody wanted to watch it as it was shit.

I was a regular viewer actually

well as long as they were showing highlights of old matches at least. they showed the entire 88-89 season review on there once, and it had been such a long time i'd sat down and watched it that i had to take upon the oppurtunity. shame it left, but like any other club tv channel, you're gonna get a lot of long winded adverts, and stuff about the academy/ladies team and boring press conferences. still, a shame to lose it tbh

Probably just as well it's gone now. I could see it being wall-to wall propaganda by now, akin to North Korean TV;

'Today, our glorious Arsene visited our glorious and revolutionary nuclear facility, which contributes to our glorious defence of our VT from the evil capitalist running dogs'

*TOF walks around a deserted factory pointing at things and mumbling to himself, then we move on the next story of TOF criticizing financial doping, praising his 'Socialist Wage Policy', etc*

:suicide:

As previously stated we did indeed have Arsenal TV years ago. And it was mostly horseshit. Every second show on it seemed to be presented by that lad that used to be in Coronation Street or Eastenders or whatever and he basically just sucked the cocks off, and rimmed the holes off, every Arsenal player/employee he spoke to. It was cringe central.

The highlights of old matches was great though, and they should have only shown those tbh. 8)

Tom Watt, Company Man?

He was the presenter of the Pravda 'Fans' Forum' Arsenal Podcast. Is he still a die hard AKB?

I think they should bring it back with Rodders in the chair.
What a show that would be!

I remember Tom Watt doing everything he could to discredit RVP'S open letter, as though what RVP was saying, wasn't true. It was always funny to see the *word censored* squirm whenever any caller said something mildly critical, of any aspect of the club. If Watt ever read some of the comments on this forum, he would die of the shock.

It was nice to hear a critical caller get through now and again.

They did have a reasonable replacement with The Clock End podcast hosted by Adrian Clarke, then they switched from weekly to monthly podcasts, before fucking it off altogether. Goes to show what the cunnts at the club think of their peasant fans :censored:

Until the bitter fucking end.

Will probably be found holed up somewhere in London fifty years after Wenger's departure wanking into a cup while rocking back and forth surrounded by pictures of his Lord and Master.

He'll end up like one of those Japanese WW2 soldiers they find on an island, that thinks the war is still on, 40 years after the war ended. :D

Yes, he's like the Japanese holdout, Lt. Onoda. Living in caves and forests for 29 years, because he didn't believe the war was over

Fucking Lofty from Eastenders in the 80s. What a knob. Left Eastenders about 30 years ago and still looks the fucking same. Wrote a book about the North Bank and then spent the next 15 years being a fucking bell-end on Arsenal phone-ins and in newspapers going on about Arsehole Wanker with the same fervent support as the SS gave to Hitler. I remember someone ringing up some phone-in on a Monday night with him and John the twat Cross and telling them that Wanker was a joke, he should resign and the club was a mess- this was about three years ago and fuck all's changed- and the two of them sat there open-mouthed, like someone had just come in and shat on the table in front off them and then got their cock out. Lofty went mad in defence of his Furher, Cross started mumbling and the caller got mysteriously disconnected. Anyway, Lofty is a prick and Arsenal TV was shit.
