Arsenal Bingo

Post by northbank123 »

Despite this being billed as the most unpredictable season ever given Leicester's triumph and the non-performance of Chelsea, this has probaby been the most predictable ever for Arsenal.

Painfully inadequate summer transfer window CHECK
Matchday 6 fun away at Olympiakos CHECK
Flying around January and out of the title race before April CHECK
Can't buy a win when the pressure is on CHECK
Flirt with 5th to make top 4 seem an achievement CHECK
Brushed aside by Chelsea CHECK
Fail to win at Spurs CHECK
Don't turn up at Old Trafford CHECK
CL last 16 dicking against class European side CHECK
Giroud poor scoring return costing us CHECK
Conceding 3+ goals at least 6 times CHECK
Minor resurgence once we have nothing to play for CHECK

Still finish above Spurs CHECK

Anything we missed ahead of next season?

Sad but true mate.

Even some weeks ago SKY were trailing it as the "most unpredictable season EVER!"

Not if you're Arsenal though. Same shit different season.

Last season we had 75 points and finished 3rd, this year we finished 2nd with 71 points. We got 90 points when we were invincible.

Covered almost everything there fella!
Injury list and 'red zone' quoted!
Tippy tappy football with no end product
Lack of leaders in the team and after every defeat the usual players piping about learning from our setback to the media
Lack of leaders in the team and after every win the the usual players piping up about the amazing spirit in our squad to the media

Treating the League Cup with absolute disdain because we're such a big club and can afford to chuck trophies in the bin CHECK

A youngster (in this case Iwobi) getting thrust into the team due to injuries and lack of choice / cover and Wenker getting praised for promoting them.
