Europa League Cup Final
Well Liverpool got totally spit roasted in that second half.
I think when you look at the Spanish league, whilst it may not be as exciting as our league there is no doubt there is more quality in depth.

Thought Milner was honest in the interview after the game.. Didn't see it all but apparently Liverpool were dominant in the first half..

Wonder who they will blame for their loss.

Mark Lawrenson has placed the blame squarely at Brendan Rodgers' feet.mcdowell42 wrote:Wonder who they will blame for their loss.
No I'm not joking.

Fuck off scousers. Fuck off. It's always nice to see them lose, especially when they were so convinced they were going to win it. Thank fuck that we're spared all that European glory nights at Anfield bollox next year. In their defence though, so far they seem to have managed to get to a European final and not kill anyone, so that's a refreshing change. That is so far, I do stress.

They were fighting in the ground before kick off but as I'm sure you can guess that was someone else's fault. Lovable rogues

Re: Europa League Cup Final
Watching them lose was made all the sweeter by their conviction that they would win comfortably and become Legends.
Superstar Klopp has won nothing and finished 8th, 11 points behind us and 21 behind Leicester.
I'm doubtful that they will significantly improve. I'm sure they'll splash the cash but they need a keeper, 2 centrebacks, a left back (or two) and probably a wide player, and even if they splashed the fortune they'd need, Klopp would have to integrate them into the PL and his ways of working incredibly quickly.
Having said that he could surprise us all and find a way to play all six strikers in one team.
It's not fair.

Re: Europa League Cup Final
The Klopp factor will make them slightly more attractive but the reality is they'll be shopping in the 5th or 6th tier of the transfer market.
That said being in Europe will be a blessing for them, especially with Klopp playing such a high-intensity game. They wouldn't have gotten near the title of they had been in the CL in 2013-14, and likewise neither Leicester nor Spurs would have been the same this year had they had to contend with Europe or CL in Spurs' case.

Ironically Kolo Toure has now come closer to a European trophy more times than Wenger in the last 10 years
Still lovely to see them fall apart in the second half, reminded me of another club who've done that recently

I've never understood how the media can make such a big deal of arsenal possibly falling out of the top4 and you have Liverpool finishing in 7th or 8th place so many years and nobody seems to make a big deal of it. Such bias in the media.

I couldn't believe the price of Sevilla (2/1) winners of it twice before,
doubled up with Accrington Stanley at Evens.
Cheers big ears.

Crazy how heavily Liverpool were favourited before it given Sevilla's record in the competition and Spanish clubs' record in Europe this season in particular.Top Londoner wrote:I couldn't believe the price of Sevilla (2/1) winners of it twice before,

Five finals on the bounce lost for Klopp - thought his rambling afterwards lacked a bit of grace actually (unless I missed the part where he congratulated Sevilla who on balance were the far better side and played far better football.
