Optus have stuffed my life

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Optus have stuffed my life

Post by Ray C »

Now that Optus have the rights to the epl it looks like I will be unable to watch my Gunners every week as I have for as long as I can remember. It's my fault for living in such a far away place as Tasmania. Foxtel was great but I will be unable to receive the Optus signal - FECK EM !!!. Anyone in the same boat ?. Any Ideas on how I can view the games online ?. The Kettering Incident !! :barscarf: :barscarf:

Thanks for the reply - Don't own a laptop & what is an 'android box'. I do have an IMac & 3 y/o plasma TV + crap speed internet line!!.
As for not having to watch Theo - I was hoping the club would do that for me by giving him away. :barscarf: :barscarf:

When I first glanced at the thread title I thought it said "Optimus has stuffed my wife"! I was thinking someone had let their whole Transformers/Megan Fox fantasy go a bit off the rails!

What Sky shit can you get on them, REB? What one do you use? :rubchin:

I'm paying fucking Sky €160 a month for all channels, (admittedly fast) Broadband and landline. Wouldn't mind cutting that cost down a tad....

I'm kinda the same (or I was! ). I hate pirates, they kill industries, but by the same token I'm sick to my arse of paying a fortune for mostly repeats on Sky! :x

im paying 46 a month to virgin db10. inc internet, phone, multiroom.kept the basic channels, have kodi downloaded on my laptop and everything inc all movies and every football game in the world is on it, the box is internet based so once you have a good connection everything is good. lots of good boxs out there and plenty in dublin, call in and chat to a guy would be better then me trying to explain on here tbh. one off payment and get rid of your sports so saving at least 60e a month.

Nah, I didn't explain myself DB - Optus aren't 'pirates' in the online pirate manner - they are pirates in Oz because they bought out the rights to EPL and you can only watch it now if you sign up to their internet stuff and it is ludicrously expensive. Maybe extortionists is a better term. I'm like you DB though - in principle not in favour of piracy but I'd be happy to find a way to stick it up this Optus lot!

Cheers, REB - will look into it.
