Well Done to All Gooners Who Stayed...

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Well Done to All Gooners Who Stayed...

Post by Cesc is God »

there till the end at SHL. The shot of Michael 'the berret' and others singing/staying till the end made it worth while to watch. You are a real credit to Arsenal FC!

It's an honour to support Arsenal. The fans, the belief, the continunous support and the fact that we will sell out this Saturday even though we have been beaten by the scum.

Whatever we go through, we stick together. We are red and white till the death and whatever problems come, we can stand strong as Gooners.

Although everyone will the piss out of us over the next few days/weeks, and yes we are disappointed but...

Stay red, stay white, stay proud to be a Gooner!

Just speaking to my brother ( The gooner 89 ) who went with a couple of my mates and he left the ground with the last few gooners and reckons the police did a good jo after the game as quite few **** we waiting. But to all of the gooners fans there tonight - fantastic support even heard singing to the end..

its a shame that only gallas, ade, theo, flam and cesc were the only players to appreciate those of us that were still there and singing after the final whistle

I agree I was proud but also ashamed of the few who left with bout 20min to go! it may have been hard to watch but fuck it (in all honesty I had to force myself to watch). In all honesty rilo i really think it looked like all the players understood the gravity of what had just happend!

Add Traore to that list, but you're right, very very poor of the rest of them to piss off on a night like that. And double respect to Cesc for gesturing his apologies - though god knows after possibly his worst performance in an Arsenal shirt, it was justified.

I can't believe those that left so early - some near me left after the 3rd goal, i.e. just after half-time.

But top performance from those that remained. The Spurs fans were rocking at the end of the game but they were truly nervous for much of the second half - waiting for their traditional collapse, even from 4-0 and 4-1 up.

Well done the lads who stayed...it was hard to watch, I stayed untill the 87th minute and then left, purely to avoid getting caught up in the street carnival thats probably still going on outside the shit hole now...Was proud of us lot outsinging them at 4-1 though.

I stayed till the end. If you had panned down from Michael singing you would have seen me in tears near in the middle of the lower tier. I have so much respect for Mathieu who got the aforementioned players to come over and applaud us. God bless you Flam. He was also having words with Ade after the final whistle. It was eerie and a little daunting walking out of their as one of the last and just seeing swarms of **** and just me and one bloke who i walked to Seven Sisters with flanked by a battalion of police for the first few 100 yards. Huge applause, love and respect to all you guys who stayed behind including you gooner 89. Made me so proud to be a Gooner despite the shit and flak we're gonna take for tonight.

Good on ya lads. It doesnt make a true fan to be staying till the end when the team routs oppositions, what makes a true fan is them standing by the side when the chips are down. So Im proud of you guys. We are lucky to be fans of Arsenal Football Club, thats enough reason to walk with our head held high anywhere and at any time.
