Let's be honest, Spurs were very good tonight - Berbatov, Keane, King, Lennon and (I can't believe I'm saying this) Jenas were great. Christ, even Lee and Tiano were really good. But for me the key to the game was the way Spurs bossed the midfield. Lots of people have slagged off 4-5-1 but this might have been one occasion where it would have justified.

I don't really care about the League Cup, but our players should take a close look at themselves. They were miles off this one.

Fabianski - Another poor game - not ready for serious games (i.e. League Cup only).
Traore - Mediocre.
Gallas - Ok but struggled to cope with Berbatov and Keane on occasion.
Hoyte - Worst player on the pitch. Nice lad, just not good enough, even to be 6th or 7th choice centre back and back-up right-back.
Sagna - Mediocre (by his high standards).
Diaby - Not awful but not great either.
Gilberto - Off the pace, not a good performance.
Fabregas (Denilson went too early to judge) - Very, very poor. His distribution more often ended with a white shirt rather than a red shirt.
Hleb - Ok but unable to have much impact.
Bendtner - Where do I start? His nonchalence at scoring an OG, his ponderous use of the ball or the sight of him squaring up to his own player and then complaining to the referee about it?
Walcott - More evidence for the "He's just not good enough" crowd.
Ade and Eduardo - Made a difference but couldn't turn the whole thing around.

I don't think we should panic but I can't pretend I'm not worried as to what this performance and result means. Time for Wenger to earn his money (again).

Fabs: Awful, not having the best first season but he is young and new league, if he doesn't let this affect his confidence then we will see.

Sagna: Offered some attacking threat but was medicore.
Hoyte: A good third choice right back, shifted out of position and understandably struggled.
Gallas: Maybe we should have stuck Gavin Hoyte in, can't have done much worse. Had this been Senderos, even I would have been demanding his being sold but this is probably a one off for Gallas.
Traore: His passing was poor though he defended well enough until we went kamikaze mode. Young, very talented, will be good enough in a year or two

Hleb: Tried but seemed unable to do anything
Denilson: Decent enough but has been poor this season. Probably just second season syndrome, give him time and we will see what he can become.
Gilberto: Did better at cb then he did at cm, maybe he is past it, lacking in confidence or one of those players who needs a run but his failings at the moment are sad to see.
Diaby: He looked like he could create something, felt he picked the wrong option too many times when he got into good positions.

Bendtner: Not his day, worked hard, fashioned chances for himself and others, ended up hitting the woodwork and scoring an unfortunate owngoal, not the best of luck. Thought despite his mistake, he was one of our best players last night
Walcott: Didn't get the service, did well when he actually got the ball. Creating the post chance and stretching Cerny (looks like Ramos has got a good player there) and the defence a few times but we needed something more.

Subs:
Cesc: Did he find a team mate last night? He kept going, kept trying but he did not have a good game.
Ade: Worked hard and fashioned the best goal of the game but there was not much he could do.
Dudu: Needs service, created the goal and caused trouble when he did get the ball but that was very rare.

If Wenger doesn't tap into the transfer market after that then he never will!

Have to say that I am amazed that some fans think hleb did ok - he was fucking shit tonight and was easily the worst player on the pitch which is saying something given the contributions from bert, gallas, bedtner & theo. You are quite right on wenger dipping into transfer market spudmasher - he should but wont
