usual thread starter… Yes, it had to end. And realistically, it should have ended a fortnight ago at home. Ah, well, this defeat will make it feel that much sweeter next time we beat the Spuds. I also hope the players remember this night and, if they are cruising with a comfortable lead against the Spuds, go for the kill. For a rivalry to have any real intensity from both sides, there has to be the possibility that either team can beat the other. So life may be depressing this morning, but at least it’s more interesting. Nothing wrong with the occasional dose of perspective to make you realise how good you’ve got it in terms of the bigger picture.
Ask yourself, this. Would Spuds fans have preferred to win this game or the one against West Ham in May 2006? Which one would you have preferred them to win?
Five questions… (23/1)

Yep i also think the same thing esp with GilbertA couple more thoughts…
Diarra could have been told – stay until the Carling Cup semis are over and then go …
Had Kerrea Gilbert’s loan deal with Southend been specified so he did not play in the Carling Cup he could have been used.
Well if this one of those games now, what if Spurs did win in 06 & we went to Paris & won would that be a better option?Ask yourself, this. Would Spuds fans have preferred to win this game or the one against West Ham in May 2006? Which one would you have preferred them to win?
