THEO TO PORTSMOUTH

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

THEO TO PORTSMOUTH

Post by SPUDMASHER »

There is a rumour about that Theo might be going on loan to Portsmouth for the rest of the season. Redknapp is apparently keen on the idea with many players missing on ACN duty and as he knows Theo from his time at Southampton.

Just a rumour I know, but I think this could be good for him.
What do you all reckon?

I would be more than happy to let him gop on loan but will he get regular football at Portsmouth? if he doesnt then there is no point sending him out on loan a championship team although a worse standard of football would be better as he would get more of a chance

God, the residents of the Arsenal Retirement Home seem to be getting younger and younger.

Its got to be good for Theo he needs regular games and he ain"t gonna get it at Arsenal. Rumours are though Wenger wants him played upfront if any team takes him on loan

Be a sudden change of policy but if Redknapp can keep Walcott's confidence high then might be worth sending him down there on loan.

I think Manchester City would be a good bet to send him out on loan to. A team desperate for a striker and a team who play decent football with Elano and Petrov being wonderfully creative players...He needs to play week in and week out and I think City are a good bet.

Portsmouth is a very likely destination given Harry's experience, the facts he knows him, the fact we have good links with Portsmouth, the fact they have so many players at the ACN and the fact that we don't like birmingham very much at the minute!

How many players have Harry signed this season? Every other player seems to be linked to Portsmouth. Maybe we should bring him to the Emirates when Arsene retires lol. We could get used to too many signings.

Yes I agree that young Jeffers (overated wanker emoticon) I mean Walcott (deer in headlights emoticon) should be sent on loan. Hopefully the club to which he goes to will be able to teach him what to do with the ball at his feet (stop his pocket money emoticon)

As much as I want him to do well with us, i don't think he's good enough at the moment .It would be good for him to get some games under his belt at Portsmouth

I think he’d be good in Aston Villa. There is loads of good young English players there: Reo-Coker, Agbonlahor, Young and Luke Moore (although he is close to leaving). So Theo would be in a good environment, also I don’t think he can get any worse under O’Neill than he is now.

i think itd be good for him as long as he gets the regular 1st team premier league experience he really does need.

although he gets a load of stick, i still think he coud become a great player, wenger thinks so, in wenger i trust
