Ted Drake, who once scored 7 goals in a game for Arsenal

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Just checked on Wikipedia and Ted will be 112 in 4 days' time. Can we sign him up again, or would that "kill" Havertz and Jesus?

Would be worth it just so we could watch Edu brag about offloading him in four years time. That Edu huh, what a guy!

Interviewer: "So tell us Edu, why have you decided to let Ted go?"

Edu: "Well, Ted is now 120 years old and rarely starts for us, so I took the tough decision to sell him back to Southampton. That bold move has saved the club the 1936 wages of three bob a week that we were paying him. Another win from me."

However the positive news about having to 'let Ted go' is we now have a spare pair of hi-tech boots for anyone thinking they can improve on Havertz or Jesus' performances.

They’re augie’s centre half boots, for when he was kicking centre forwards all over the gaff.
