Player of the season ?
Player of the season vote available on arsenal.com
https://www.arsenal.com/news/vote-our-m ... yer-season
Certainly there are a few contenders
Rice,
Saliba,
Gabriel,
Odegaard
All had very good seasons
White
Trossard
Havertz
All contributed greatly to the 2nd half of the season but maybe not over the whole in my opinion.
Saka is a strange one, as his goals / assists has never been higher, yet I wouldn’t have said he was as influential as previous years ( or maybe the expectation is higher )
Raya got the golden gloves award yet not made particularly match winning saves ( mainly due to the solid defence )
My choice would be Rice, if we had him there last season we would have won the league in my opinion.

Re: Player of the season ?
It's a very tight call between Rice & Saliba both of which had fantastic seasons.

Agreed, though Saliba is a very close second with Gabriel his fellow CB a very close third.Stuart L (2) wrote: ↑Mon May 27, 2024 7:21 pmPlayer of the season vote available on arsenal.com

Saliba all day for me. Without him Gabriel goes to shit and our entire defence follows. Saliba was different class all season.
Re: Player of the season ?
Biggus Deccus just edges it for me, and Big Willy a very close second.
Re: Player of the season ?
For me, it’s gotta be Declan. I would also like to publicly acknowledge how wrong I was for calling him Gareth Barry 2.0 when we signed him.

Same as that - best young centre back in european football imo, and we fall apart without him

Rice has been absolutely fantastic but I'd give it to Saliba who was unbelievably brilliant all season.

Totally agree, Saliba was world class. Especially in some of our away games.DB10GOONER wrote: ↑Mon May 27, 2024 10:30 pmSaliba all day for me. Without him Gabriel goes to shit and our entire defence follows. Saliba was different class all season.

Who the fcuk voted for captain invisible ? We used to have captains like TA6 who stood up to be counted on the big days, and now we have a guy who goes missing when needed the most - I guess if we were only playing teams of the level of luton etc then he would be in running for Balon D'Or

Re: Player of the season ?
Rice for me, been superb, if we can get another quality midfielder in next to him that will elevate us to a level that can better cheatys.
Jorghino has done well when asked but he's at the end of his career, partey just pisses away possession time and again, luckily we had Rice who can win it back again without giving away free kicks.
Saliva has been excellent also but also had a wobbly spell, Gabriel had a great season too and can mix it with the oppo players.
The most disappointing player was martinelli, he's gone backwards.
I'm looking forward to Timber playing next season, I assume he will be our left back, he looked quality in the pre season and charity shield.
Over and out.
