At least it's a game without an English ref or a governing body hellbent on sabotaging VAR. Watch the game pass without so much as a sniff of controversy. Amazing what can be achieved when you want something to work

Who knows what else will happen. Probably very low scoring. They are out and we know we're probably already through. 0-0 or 0-1 most likely

Will always be decisions in games fans won't like but in Europe VAR seems to work way better, faster especially offsides.

The automated system thats still delayed being introduced in the PL  offsides are checked within seconds bar the tightest of calls in CL and Europa, two or three mins PL.

Think we will win 1 or 2-0. Top 8 secured so at least less games in February.

Came here to post the exact same thing! Just looking forward to a European ref and VAR and the zero controversy and level playing field in these games. So refreshing.

Amazing that out of all these 27 rounds there’s been no huge controversy in any decision. No cluster fuck, no cosy boys club. It can work and work well if you’re actually interested in doing it properly (and fairly).

Anyone your bathtub or mine for this? Match day 8 is the new match day 6 :barscarf:

p.s. any know how Olympiakos are doing?

Those bad boys are sitting pretty 4 points clear at the top of the Greek Super Pub League my friend so just you wait till next season. If we get them on Matchday 8 and there is a pre game light show, you better bring a second bottle of bubble bath and have the Walrus of Love on continual loop. Believe baby....believe

Make a lot of changes, don't bother playing Rice or Saliba or Timber. Give that Neto bloke a game, let Tierney have a start. Cheaty have to win and will need to play a full-strength side, we don't. Get a point, no injuries, rest a few for the weekend.

They lost today 2 -1 to Rayo Vallecano who scored 2 goals in the last ten minutes. Rayo are 7th and Girona 8th in the table. They have scored 29 in 21 games and have let in 29 as well . They are a bog standard middle of the table outfit.

Play the stiffs?? For the first time in about a decade I cannot really quantify who those are. There are a bunch of first choice players now who would easily have qualified as stiffs 3 or 4 seasons back.

It is almost incomprehensible that we are sitting 2nd in the league. If I could, I would wager that City will overtake us before the end of the season. They are already picking up momentum, whereas we are lurching.

It is so infuriating, supposedly one of the biggest clubs in Europe and we never win F all.

You know he's going to put out our strongest eleven because it's what we do.

We should give that new striker and winger we've just signed, let them bed in
