RVP's Return From Injury

Post by Sutch »

Hi, apparentely RVP returns from injury tommorow on the 11th of Feb 2008.

Do you think he should come on as a late substitute against blackburn tommorow? I definitely wouldn't start him, not after what happened in the League Cup.

To say the truth, I don't think we are missing him right now at all. Adebayor and Eduardo are doing well together and are in good form as well. I think Wenger should give Robin van Persie as much rehabilitation time as needed.

Can't remember where i read it, was looking for a leg related injury and somehow found it man, it said RVP and Djourou are back on the 11th of Feb, and it had a list of all the club's injured players. I'll try to find it now.

I wonder how reliable that website is. I've only had a quick glance at it, so I don't know - but for instance, it says that Almunia's been out with a 'virus' while on the Arsenal site, it says he injured one of his fingers (or thumbs) in training...

Let's hope RvP is back tomorrow, but I'm not holding my breath.

RVP is a lagend, he's my favourite player, but I think if he is back tommorow, then he should be given a 10 minute run out as a sub to slowly regain his fitness in the next few days.

i think he is our 3rd choice striker at the moment,

has to be behind Ed and Ade, prob ahead of Nicklas

I hope hs comes back soon and stays fit for at least until the end of the season...
Arsene said he wont be rushed back after what happened in the spuds game,

Actually Almunia recovered from his thumb injury and did get a virus:

Almunia is a doubt. His thumb is OK but he is sick. We'll see tomorrow and Sunday about him.

Rosicky is going to miss the match against Blackburn.

I can't agree with that. For me RVP is the best player in the Club. If he can get, and stay, fit then he could be like the new signing we didn't make in January. After the events of today I am beginning to believe we can do it.

WENGER COULD ALWAYS PLAY HIM WIDE RIGHT - RVP PLAYS THERE FOR HOLLAND - ESPECIALLY IF TOMMY IS STILL OUT INJURED (YOU COULD THEN SWITCH HLEB LEFT). 8)
