Just spoke to friend who is an osteopath. He explained that from look of injury, a circular bone at base of leg, under tibia and fibula, has broken away from the rest of the leg. The accompanying nerve damage means Eduardo will be unlikely to play again.
Of course he can only judge from the picures he has seen on the net. Hope a miracle recovery occurs.

Due respect to your friend and all that, but an osteopath may well not have enough expertise to be making meaningful judgments. Not that I'm ruling out the possibility of Eddie's career being ended. Like all of us, I really hope it isn't.
