Was this the best performance away?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Was this the best performance away?

Post by H4x »

This is the best I can ever remember us playing away from home, certainly in the CL, but then I am only 17.

Can anyone remember us playing better away in Europe? Or anywhere?

And also, who do we want in the next round? I'm going for Olympiakos or Seville/Fenerbahce

Although 5-1 away at Inter was fucking amazing, I think 2-0 away at the European Champions is something else!

id say since the champions league was formed this has definitly been our best away result. taking nothing away from the team that won at inter 03, and again in madrid 06, this is the icing on the cake. these were the european champions after all. and we humilited them in their own back yard. couldnt care less who we get next, cause after that, all comers are welcome, and i think we can take anybody on and beat em.

Nothing will ever beat Glorious Glorious Copenhagan for me!

That night the odds were seriously stacked against us!

I'm going to stretch it and say best away performance? How about best performance? We just riped apart the European Champions, and they looked very ordinary, The Arsenal were simply awsome! I'm so proud. AC are a fantastic team, it's not like we just beat Lyon, we battered those boys, Away from home no less.

Now I'm a manly man, but I'd be Cesc Fabregas bitch for ever following that perfomance!

Gus that was an amazing night, but can you see the contrast? We hung on for bitter glory that night against a supposedly technically superior team, and tonight we outplayed and outclassed the aristocrats of European football, we were the technically superior team. The common denominator?
Write us off at your peril! Cos The Arsenal will bite your arse, I imagine 100 reporters have been re-writing their account tonight’s game, and I've never been so proud to be AFC!!

I have seen better from this team, AC Milan was lucky that were not in our moon tonight, we might be rape them apart. Imagine with Kolo, Rosicky and 442 formation, with flash speed passing and running, they coould be spectators only.

I'm delirious though I'd probably say Madrid 06 and Parma 94 edged this one with this being on a par with the 5-1.

WE'RE IN THE QUARTERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
