"Mass Brawl"

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

"Mass Brawl"

Post by tenementfunster5 »

Can everyone please stop refering to the 'Mass brawl'. It was, for the most part, handbags. There was only 1, limpwristed, punch thrown by Eboue for which Wayne Bridge over reacted and threw himself to the ground. There wasn't a lot in it. Adebayor had every right to be furious with the ref and lino 'cos he was no where near Bridge and the lino was 2 foot from the incident and still got it wrong (much like the Drogba offside)

the sun claims it was a 18 man brawl so im going to write a email to them to name and shame the culprits, if that was a brawl then the sun and mt howard obviously hasnt been to Romford on a weekend night at kicking out time. It infuriates me when these journalist makes a meal out of silly handbags. lets get this straight I saw it the highlights and there was no punches thrown just shoving and a headlock by Fabregas on LumpOfLard. so if anything 3 yellows should of been sufficiant. Remember Kevin Davies at Bolton this season pushing Eboue in the chest, which we where calling for a red but he only got a yellow and match of the day explained that a push on the chest is only a yellow card offence, so there should be no difference in the cards

Eboue did swing at bridge and deserved a red card, which the lino should have seen being 2 foot away how can you confuse a 5ft 8 full back with a 6ft 3 center forward with a goatee. But the rest was handbags, if that happened in any pub around the country would have been laughed out of town. I am considering writing to the F.A to suggest they clamp down on timewasting to ensure that our players are not wound up every week until it boils over.

Im writing to Arsenal to complain about the lack of passion and technique shown during the so called brawl. What would TA6 think?

Get Paul Davis in to work on Eboue's left hook.

We've gone and done it again. Another "Mass Brawl" between the two clubs. The reserves decided that the first team were getting too much press so joined the party. Mart Poom was being kicked while on the ground and young Gavin Hoyte took exception and started pushing and shoving. Again no punches thrown but at least Gavin is keeping the Arsenal spirit alive. Go on son! :)
