Senderos Again

Post by Wayno »

Out of two cups in 4 days and Mr Senderos at fault yet again, roll on next Wednesday, he's on for the treble.

He cannot take the can for all of this. Yes he did get beat but at right back??? With no back up its all hands to the pumps. Once again we can play all the pretty circles around any opposition we want but what we really require are forwards that finish. Nothing else.
This game would and should have been killed off. Relying on a penalty decision is not enough. Its up to us.
Shooting practice would be a start!!! ( from outside the box)

Still keep the faith

i agree with u worting but when so many decsions go against us over the game and all they seem to do is foul what can you do. its not easy when teams are so boring and play absolute rubbish football agaianst us.

Senderos cant take the blame today.

When he was needed he was still found wanting, I will say no more on this thread as I am sure this topic will come up again and again and again. He ain't Arsenal quality.

Young bloke, fears nothing except Drogba, only he's got no pace whatsoever and if he does speed up a bit it will never be enough. Twenty years ago he might have got by, but not now. And we must never play him against Chelsea again. Everyone has someone they don't like playing against but you don't always know who it is until they admit it. Phil doesn't need to tell us that Drogba is his personal nightmare.

Shades of Pascal - again. However, Senderos cannot take all the blame. Baptista looks the real liability - all his goals in 2 games and several clear chances missed tonight again. Also, trying to be realistic, we are really short of players, poor refereeing decisions - Freddie's was clear cut - didn't help. Yet how many times have we seen Arsenal do this? All on top of Sunday. Sickasaparrot. :( :( :(

Don't blame Big Phil, the game should have been well wrapped up by the time McCarthy scored. It's easy to make Senderos the scapegoat but why? When it was our attackers who never took their chances and a shit ref who aint got a fucking clue!

Senderos was actually having a solid game until he was forced to play at right back, but fuck knows why when Gallas could play there or even Gilberto as he's better on the ball and quicker than big Phil.

Here we go again, making Phil the scapegoat cos its a bandwaggon to jump on?? He was having a good game till he was switched to right back, but why? Surely it should have been Gallas that was switched, he has played full back hundreds of times?? Phil had a dodgy ten minutes, Why is no-one mentioning the fact that Hleb didnt pass to a yellow shirt for the whole 90 minutes? Baptista was shit too for the whole game. Missed chances, lack of cutting edge, blatant penalty not given, none of these things are anything to do with Senderos.
And while im having a whinge, why did only 4 players come over to thank the fans? Denilson, Traore, Theo and Freddie were the only ones, freezing cold, shit game, wednesday night and all after the events of sunday and only 4 players could say cheers!! LOAD OF BALLACKS!!

I'm BORED of this anti-senderos shit. Its clear Wenger didn't give a toss about this cup (or he didn't manage to fire up the lads) and look what has happened! The attitude of the players at home to Blackburn was disgraceful - not at all fired up or even interested.

Players not showing their thanks is inexcusable.

Agreed mate! especially when you consider the mileage involved lately, Boro away, PSV, Cardiff, and still a good following last night. Its such a small thing to expect from the players but its obviously too much for them. Normally Pat Rice makes them come over, not sure what happened last night but why should they be told?? They clearly have no idea how hard it is for the normal fan to follow The Arse all over the country ie getting off work, money etc

How did I know I'd see a blame Senderos thread today.

I would type a proper response, but elpelsarmy's first post said exactly what I wanted to. Spot on mate

I blame Wenger for moving him to right back. When he was in the middle with Gallas he was ok. Why didn"t Wenger put Gilberto at right back. I am not big Phils biggest fan but i dont blame him for last night. We lost because we are too lightweight upfront 1 goal in 4 games not good enough. The season hinges on the PSV game

on why he moved Senderos to right back...
"We lost Djourou in training, we lost Eboue, we have no Hoyte. It was very difficult. Traore is left-footed and has hamstring problems so I had no choice."

just taken this AW quote from the Arsenal website!! what is he on about???YES ARSENE YOU DID HAVE ANOTHER OPTION YOU COULD HAVE PUT GALLAS AT RIGHT BACK, A PLAYER WHO KNOWS THE POSITION!! I LOVE THE MAN BUT WHY IS HE SAYING THIS?? ANY IDEAS??
