Bring Back Lehmann
There's no arguing that Almunia's error resulted in Chelsea's winning goal. He also fucked up against Barcelona, and has conceded many dubious goals over the course of the season. This is the final straw.
Lehmann made two mistakes this season. One of the games we won, the other we drew. Not so bad. Bring back the legend, even though it's too late.

Lehmann ain't the answer. But neither is Almunia.Bring Back Pires wrote:There's no arguing that Almunia's error resulted in Chelsea's winning goal. He also fucked up against Barcelona, and has conceded many dubious goals over the course of the season. This is the final straw.

Where's Poom when you need him!
We need a better keeper. Wenger needs to spend big in the summer.

Goalkeepers are judged on their mistakes (or lack of) rather than the positive things they do. If Lehmann was thrown out for making one mistake over 90 minutes, then Almunia should be under fire likewise. What's the point in making some excellent saves if you're then going to fuck it up and concede a goal you shouldn't?Fabrestuta wrote:Ok you need to stop making stupid threads, no offense man, but Almunia may have had a weak hand for the second, but he kept us in the game.

he well and truely kept us in it. he was not at fault for either goal,
1st was off and gallas should not have let him through anyway
and the 2nd was piss poor defending by toure

Maybe we have different standards, but if I was paying somebody 50K+ per week to be a professional goalkeeeper, then I'd fully expect the second goal to be saved.burns718 wrote:did you watch the same game?Bring Back Pires wrote:There's no arguing that Almunia's error resulted in Chelsea's winning goal.
