Have we seen Henry's last game for Arsenal?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Have we seen Henry's last game for Arsenal?

Post by MK Gould »

Will he be with us next season? Should we cash in if Barca still want him?

if we get about 15-20 mill, then i hate to say it but yea, been very injury prone in recent weeks, and then we can get a decent centre back and striker, get rid of alliadiere to west ham or sommin sendros to partner arsenal legend cygacn at the bak for villareAL, and that money will get us hopefully a few good experienced players including 1 or 2 new young gunns

No way! Thierry's a gooner thru and thru! He's had an injury prone season - it happens!

No fucking way should we even consider selling him! He is our all time top goalscorer, in my opinion the best player we've ever had and he deserves to stay with us for the rest of his career like Bergkamp did.

Remember he could have gone Barca but pledged his future to our club and said how much he loves it here and how much he loves us. The man is only 29, he is still the best player we have got and we have missed his goals this season without a shadow of a doubt. He has been troubled by little injuries here and there, after having his busiest season ever last season, so we can now give him the rest and treatment he needs so he is fresh for next season. He is still the best player in the world when fit and he is our captain, so for me Henry is a Gooner till he decides otherwise.

I can't believe some Gooners can even consider letting Henry go!

Is this a joke? Maybe if he was permanently injured like Michael Owen then I would say yes, let's sell him on for a crap price, but he's not, and I haven't forgotten the "best player in the world" we had last season. Fu**ing hell! Clichy was out for MONTHS and I bet you're all glad we've got him back properly fit! Let's not be selfish bastards.

Sorry guys. Wish I hadn't said anything now! Course you are right. What was I thinking of. Lets give him a long rest and roll on August with Thierry back alongside RVP.....!!! What's the betting we see the welcome return of Reyes as well, once he realises that he's not wanted in Madrid. Only natural that a Spaniard would want to play for them, so I for one would welcome him "home"......

I wonder if Reyes is going to be picked up by another Spanish Club. Altho' the Beast hasn't looked like a £10 million player I prefer him to Reyes and I do think that we haven't seen the best of him yet.

I'm not sure The Beast is Arsene's type of player. We may not have seen the best of him yet, but I just can't see him becoming a first choice @ Arsenal - and he's too expensive to sit on the bench or in reserves.

What a laugh, the things i read on this forum have to be wind-ups. Talking about letting TH go if we 'might' get 15 mill for him. Then i see you lot banging on about TRUE fans at the PSV game. I know what TH has done for this club as i've been there home and away through the years, and he still has a lot to give. Anyone remember 8 months ago when we pleaded with him to stay!!!. He's either been playing with an injury or been out for most of the season and some of you want him sold. And there's another thread on this forum about Arsenal fans being a disgrace as they left 5 mins early.... Do me a favour!!!!!

Give me a break. I've already said sorry.... I've also now remembered that our bad spell earlier in the season ended as soon as TH returned from his "rest". I promise not to be such an Arse again!!!

ok well i guess a longer break would do him more good then bad, lets just take the captincy off him, and give it to gilberto, and let henry do what he dose best and thats score goals.....
