WHO IS GREATEST RAPPER EVER?

Totally nothing to do with Arsenal, but a diversion!

Who do you think the greatest rapper ever was/is?

My vote is Biggie Smalls (Notorious B.I.G). Had the flow, the clarity of voice, complex rhyming, humour and visual imagery to greater extent than anyone else before or since.

I have put in most of the major MCs from over the years, all American.

Maybe you feel a UK MC such as Roots Manuva or Rodney P is best?

Rap is shit!

The rapper from Linkin Park is good though - Mike Shinoda.

A friend of mine worships Jay-Z though, and, being the only one on the list I would rate at all, he gets my vote.

I would have included Nas, Black Thought, Kool G Rap and Scarface too but it only let me put 10 options.

Interesting that Tupac is winning so far, always does well in these polls.
He was a good actor and poet, but as an MC was decent but just above average. Very successful saleswise, popular with the ladies, but not groundbreaking or advanced stylewise.
