Boss' comments

Post by DanielD »

"I believe it (the loss on Tuesday) is down to a dodgy decision from the referee and a lack of concentration at 2-2," he said on Sky Sports News.

"It is difficult to swallow. It is a double disappointment because all the big decisions went against us and with three minutes to go we were qualified.

"It is very difficult for me to understand because for me it was not a penalty. I have watched it clearly again. Last week it was a real penalty. But we have to accept that.

"We were too naive, we lacked a bit of maturity defensively. We had so much control.

"The mental strength of the team was fantastic tonight. It was down to lack of experience.

"This team has plenty of talent and potential but we lacked that little bit of extra confidence.

"Tonight we have a feeling of disappointment and injustice."

RUBBISH !!!!!!!! UTTER TAT !!!!!!!!

You could have predicted that from the moment the final whistle went.

What Wenger says and - frankly - DOES between now and the end of the season is irrelevant.

It's what he does OR DOES NOT DO in the closed season that counts.

If he does nothing but bring Vella back from Spain and sign another couple of teenage nonentities then the Die will be cast - in my view.

Next season is 'Make or Break' for his control of this club.

If he STILL refuses to invest in the squad when Man U. 'pool, Chavs - not to mention Spurs, West Ham, Villa, Newcastle and Everton all substantially strengthen, then he will have put his head - AND OURS - on the chopping block.

If we then implode YET AGAIN, or more likely malfunction from the very beginning, then it's OVER for Wenger in my view.

I've never shouted 'Wenger Out' - or indeed any of our Managers 'Out' and I go back to Mee.

But if he carries on in 'Walter Mitty' denial for another season, then come May 2009 - the axe falls as far as I'm concerned.

Or more to the point, Red and White Holdings ride over the horizon and save us - on and off the pitch. 'Cause that's what it will take.

After showing so much emotions on the sideline in all the recent games, i wish wenger will make his comments with a bit more passion.

Give the fans some credit Arsene. Tell us how sad you are by the lack of character in the team, i'm sure you are.

Explain why you're playing eboue instaed of theo, taking into acount that you swapped Gilberto and Lehmann with new blood when they didn't play well, in a similar situation.

The ref may have made a very bad decision today, but our team is to blame, because the game should have been done and dusted by the time babel went into the penalty area and dived. We fucked it up.

I know....Wengers comments usually just annoy me these days.

How many more times will he use the excuse that we "lacked maturity" and "lacked expereince"

Almunia is 31; Gallas is 31; Toure is 27; Senderos is 23; Clichy is 23 and Gilberto is 31.

Its bollocks. They just defended crap..not because they lack maturity, or experience....we are just shit at defending

Poor Arsenal. The guys deserved at least something from a fantastic season. Think of a 50/50 decision that's gone our way recently - Flamini and Clichy at Birmingham; Aladiere and Ade offsides v Boro, now the penalty and non-penalty. Hasn't exactly evened out?

yeah i agree with him about referee decision but as u guys have said we cannot rely on those decisions to win us a game. one defensive error and opposition are gifted a goal these days. its not gud enuf! yes we have high standards as arsenal fans but we have a right to! we wana do well! im gutted but today sums up the second half of this season...we lack a depth of squad. we need to buy in the summer! a quality winger, striker and defender. i want theo playing more to give him more confidence and try him upfront! i dont actually have a problem with hleb but i do rosicky cos hes clearly a sick note :(

i hope wenger is putting on a front with the media with sum of his comments and intends to improve the squad in the summer.

So many words, so little sense.
