Just what we don't need. he spends most of the season not playing after an injury palying for the Dutch and now Van Basten says he is going to make an exception to take Robin. F*ck Off.

He's spent pretty much a season out.

A bit of football is what he needs. If he's got any hope of stepping up next season then he will HAVE to make it though the Euro's injery free.

If he dons't then it would definatly be time to show him the door. If he does stay fit then hopefully he would be well on the way to regaining some match sharpness that he lacked when he came back for us.

I dont know what it is with our players, we seem to get one or two injuries every time there is an international break, thats why they annoy me so much, that, and the fact that they stop us watching the gunners and in place put on garbage England, nobody wants to watch that! Apart from when Croatia kept beating them, now that was good football ha!

we can just be thanful that the French coach obviously doesnt know a good footballer when he sees one as Sagna and Clichy havent been called up so at least they will be Fresh for next season, and good that its a Euro and not a World Cup as that means, Adebayor, Toure, Gilberto etc.... will all be fresh, lets just hope its a group stage elimination for Spain, France and Holland eh?!

when he came back for us near the end of the season apart from one or two performances he was mainly very poor.Cant see them playing him much when they see how out of it he is

Well the happy prognosis is that he plays, gets match fit and is sharp and ready for early pre season training.

But that seems just too good to be true to me.

Amongst the other alternatives are that he's not fit, still won't be match fit, comes on for 30 minutes, does his thigh/foot/hamstring for the umpteenth time and is struggling to be fit come our pre season.

I certainly concur that this coming season is make or break for him. He was out for most of last season, half the previous season - if he can't make this one then he's no good to man or beast.

I can understand Wenger's bleat about "he's just been unluck...bla-bla-bla" but even Wenger must see reality if come the big KO in August he's still 'injured'.

I will be watching Holland games with a nervous tension not normally associated with such events.

Its guaranteed he will be out for half of next season

Rosicky won't be playing at the Euros but will no doubt injury himself tripping over a dandylion in his garden this Summer....

These 2 are getting on my proverbials with their glass legs......

I do think that clubs ought to have some sort of veto in these circumstances. I know the rule would be difficult to write cos Ferguscum would never ever let any Manure player go on International duty, but somebody somewhere with a legalistic brain must be able to do it.

Come on Roly over to you. See if you can write the rule for the morons and dickheads, :box:

It's probably a good thing that he's going to Euro 2008. If he gets injured whilst playing for them instead of getting injured mid-late august when the transfer window is about to close I'll be happier. At least it'll give us time to sort out a loan replacement or something.

I am actually happy about this. Hopefully he'll play a decent amount of games and get some fitness. I can't see how this tournament can make his situation with injuries any worse :?

He needs games and goals to get his confidence back, if he can do that for a Holland side in a very tough group then we get a player back and in good shape. If he gets injured then we should really look for another striker and will be gutted but Holland have a right to him and it is a privilege to play for their country, I can't begrudge Van Persie or any of our players that
