Wenger leaving would not be the end of the world! (20/4)

Wenger leaving would not be the end of the world! (20/4)

Post by gooner.ed »

usual thread starter... i accept AW will obviously go one day, but i am not sure it would be the best for the club if he did not do one more stint after his current deal. would the likes of fabregas hang around? the players seemed to like dein, but is their love for the club greater than their liking for being dealt with by dein and managed by wenger?

At last - a common-sense view of the situation!
An excellent & intelligent article.

Do you honestly think Hill-Wood had ever heard of Wenger when DD mentioned him as his choice to be the manager of Arsenal. Remember Hill-Wood appointed Don Howe,he wanted Houston to be manager when Graham was sacked. And he once wanted Terry Venables(before George)
Wenger has been the greatest thing that has ever happened to Arsenal.Trophies and wonderful football what more do you want.DD is no saint but he has Arsenal at heart the manager and the players love him.
As for bringing in Ronald Koeman his teams play the most boring football in Europe if he came to Ashburton gates would drop drastically.
What good is having a great stadium if we havent got the team on the pitch to compete with Man Utd,Chelski and Liverpool.Who by the the way are all in the last four of the CL.Fitzman and Edelman wanted the best stadium in the world Dein wanted the best team in the world.Ask the fans what they would rather have.
It makes me laugh when i read people just writing off Wenger as any old manager who can be easily replaced.I wouldn"t swop him for any manager in the world. I believe Wenger will stay for one more year to give Dein and Kroenke a chance to mount a takeover bid.If they are not successful i believe he will walk. And that will be the saddest day in Arsenals history.
