Fenenbache Away Advice Please!

Post by the_gooner89 »

So.... will anyone be going to turkey (fenenbache). I would love to go but my dad isnt to keen on the idea and my brothers are trying to put me off. I will be going to kiev and porto but i want to go to fenenbache as i dont think ill every have an experience like it. Do you think we will be protected well out there or not?? I will be going with the Travel Club.

Please if anyone has got any advice or has been before it would be very much apreciated. (and not run for your fucking life haha)

If you go with the Arsenal Travel Club it should be fine.

Problems would come if you just went in a small group 'unescorted'.

Going with the travel club you will be fine but marshalled wherever you go.

Going on your own steam is riskier but a shed load more fun!

To be honest i think we will be alright, but you never know. The turkish police dont help if theres any trouble, they atomatically think its you. Depends how much TC trips are guess, they will be alot chaper doing it on your own. Dont wear colours and we will be fine and dont talk to anyone and expose our accents

Having been to a load of away european games I can tell you that being with the Travel Club won't necessarily stop the hassle. What it will do is most likely mean that you won't get so much hassle from the locals but you'll get plenty from the police! I was at Sampdoria when the police kept us in a car park for 6 hours at gunpoint after telling us originally we'd get the afternoon to wander around town! Personally I wouldn't go to Turkey after what I saw in Copenhagen against Galatasaray but good luck!!

I went to Kiev and it's fantastic - you will never see so many beautiful girls anywhere else in the world! They are stunning. Beers are really cheap if you avoid the strip bars, go in those and you'll be ripped off big time.
I'm hoping to go to the Porto game myself, haven't been there before.

I am afraid that anyone who goes with the travel club are limiting their enjoyment of the trip.

If the travel club is the only way to go considering time constraints I understand, otherwise I personally can't see the value in it.

I'm going to go but am a little wary. Anyone got any idea when the tickets are going to go on sale?

The only reason im going via the travel club is becuase they do all the organising and i just turn up and i think the price is very reasonable considering the organised transport. Also it means i only need to take two days holiday at work or one even.

Appreciate the advice and ill weigh up my options. Die for arsenal or say at home for my dad (whos a tottenham fan) haha. we will see
