Poker?

Post by selsdon »

Arsenal Football Club is getting left behind and our leader talks as if it's a game.

The current relationship between board and manager is bringing the club down.

One has to go, simple as.

Are you seriuosly suggesting that if the current board remain then Wenger should go

So who would do a better job than him at this present time?

We aren't Arsene Wenger's little plaything.

If his dream is to conquer the world with kids let him try elsewhere cos it aint gonna happen in England.

The board have constantly claimed there's money to spend.

If that is the case he's mismanged since last Jan and has to go.

If not, the board has to go.

As i said the current relationship has become stale and an end to it, whatever way, is what is required for Arsenal FC.

Last time I checked football was and still is a game  I can understand your frustration with the lack of transfer activity, I think we have all been disappointed so far, however the window does not shut until midnight Monday so we have to sit and hope that we get some quality player/players in before then. I did ask who you would like to see as Wengers replacement, did you not answer because you cannot think of any suitable candidates?

If someone's running your business into the ground you don't hold onto them because you have no idea who's gonna replace them.

Wenger has nothing more to offer the club.

Crucially he appears to have lost the respect of the players. If a journeyman like Flamini can't be persuaded to stay it doesn't exactly speak volumes for the boss does it?

To answer your question.....Gus Hiddink.

Why not wait until the transfer window closes before you call for Wengers head, eh?

Wenger often leaves things till the last minute in the transfer market, and that's because he's trying to get the right player, at the right price...hence, poker!

I don't care what the board say, we are not swimming in money..that's nonesense. We have a wage cap, and as Wenger has said, that is a neccessity for us to stay competitive.

It is my opinion that we may have around £15-20m available..although that would also have to cover the players wages. With that in mind, if we sign a player before September 1st for around £7-12m, then that will be the transfer budget used up.

As Hill Wood said the other day...we have money for one experienced player. That player may still arrive

As for your idea of the board leaving...that really isn't going to happen any time soon, as they are in the middle of a lockdown agreement. Sorry.

Jaysus, will you have patience man .........

I grew up watching us in the days of Hawley and Hankin etc...as a Gooner i have patience in abundance.

Can any of you honestly say with the current squad, whom Wenger is convinced can win the Champions League, will finish top 4 in England?

We won't. Then what?

Yes, I can honestly say I have confidence that we'll finish in the top 4.

And one player is all that's required is it?

We have no goalkeeper, we have no proper centre midfielder, we have no centre forward - that there is the spine of the team. We have no creative midfielders, Cesc aside; we have no wingers (Theo's a busted flush), we have no captain.

Let alone cover for all the above positions.

Arsene Wenger has done wonders for this club and for that will forever be a legend but...

his time is up.

Oh come on. AC Milan are a huge club, and you know it. You just sound foolish now. They won the CL 2 seasons ago, and you can bet your life they'll be in it again after next season.

You don't think Arsenal will finish top 4 anyway, so surely joining a team who are serious contenders for Serie A, is a step up?
