Is it easy to get a student loan?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Its been a while since i was at uni, but if its anything like it was i was there, and its probably a lot worse in this new debt ridden society. It will be thrown in Juniors face constantly about how to get one, how much it can be. The process for me to abuot an hour, id bank details, course details done.

www.slc.co.uk studen loans company

previously independant of sorts , now owned by natwest, but still the largest provider.

yeah its easy..when you first apply for it the form is like 40 pages long. aslong as you do everything it says on the application then you should get it with in a couple of weeks after applying! depends on your borough as well, some take longer than others

Alternatively **** you can use one of your cabbie "special shortcuts" for a few fares and hey presto.........no need for a loan!

When completed the form has to be sent to his Local Education Authority (LEA) for processing. I think somewhere in those pages is an LEA finder thingy which will give the address

yeah its not at all hard, just very time consuming with plenty of pages to fill out, but then when its done you can take it down to your local council and if the student loan people are there they will check over all your info then and there to make sure its good and take a photocopy of your passport so you dont have to send it off.
im going uni on sunday :D

He wont have to pay that back until he's earning over £16,000.

However until he does the interest goes up.

Tell him to inform any right wing reactionaries that it's a loan and he'll be paying it all back eventually and unlike once mighty mortgage lenders most definitely not living off tax payers money.
