Oi!! What about my 'look on the bright side' thread?
Sorry, I missed it amongst all the doommongering!

But, forgive me for saying so, but even your thread seems a bit of a reaction against the overreaction of the naysayers. Maybe I've just missed it, but ...

Perhaps, but all I've noticed here today has been, "sack the board!", "sack Wenger!", "shoot Almunia!", none of which seems particularly appropriate or useful after a defeat in one of our most difficult away games of the season.

So what you're saying is that Facebook is full of rose-tinters!!

Not at all, there's an even split of the posters whom I consider worth reading between a very few who think Wenger is untouchable, a very few who would sack him tomorrow and the vast majority who ...

Compared to the post above you, I think you display the insight of Wenger, Ferguson and Capello combined!

You soon learn which posters are worth reading, and which aren't.

I good example is Augie, who has pretty extreme negative views, but I respect his view because its not knee jerk (he's been miserable since I joined 18months back!  ) and is in fact pretty reasonable and not always easy ...

Depends what you mean by 'like this' tasha7?
Filled with kneejerk "the sky is falling" diatribes.

Just skimming through this forum and the Arsenal Facebook group, it just seems to me that there's more intelligent, rational post match analysis and discussion on the Facebook ...

Oh, come on tasha... no defence should be caught out so easily by a 60 yard hoof up field!

Robbie Keane is hardly the quickest, yet he has time and space to run beyond our defence and score. And how was he able to do that???...

Well, they say the first 5 yards are in your head... so that might ...

Forgive me for saying so, Number 5, but I really do think you are nitpicking. The point is that directly from our throw-in, nobody in an Arsenal shirt touches the ball (the Liverpool player wins the header) and it's not unreasonable that the defenders are not set up for that.

You did watch the wide ...

Ok, who's been at the crack pipe?

I know it wasn't me, I had to stop that shit a while ago.

A player scores an own goal and it isn't a mistake, just bad luck.
I commend you guys for backing the guy but as Ed Exley so expertly pointed out in LA Confidential,

A hooker cut to look like ...

The own goal against Chelsea?

Keane's goal for Liverpool?

The penner he gave away for City's third goal and if I'm harsh not tracking Ireland for their first in the 3-0 loss? 8)
As others have pointed out, I don't think you can call the Chavs goal a mistake, it was the correct decision for him ...

I don't call Sylv Senderos and Djourou depth....Depth is about having guys in back up that have proved they can come in and do a good job, guys you can feel relatively comfortable won't let you down or weaken the team noticeably when called upon, it's not just a numbers game.

I like Djourou and ...

Yes, I totally agree that he's much better in midfield, but far the most improved player over the last 12 months. Even halfway through last season I never thought he'd be good enough soon enough, but I'm thrilled to have been proved wrong. But he can't play every match this season (especially when ...
