Johan Cruyff RIP

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

One of the games greatest players.

Saw a clip today of some of his goals (including a pass penalty) and you can see where Dennis got his influence from with the impudent chips.

Indeed it definately isnt Cruyff, remember he refused to wear the three stripes of Adidas ? all to do with Puma I found out later, I just thought he was an anarchistic hero

RIP. Just wish he had been a WC winner, bloody Argies

There's an alternate timeline somewhere where Cruyff won us a few CL titles before passing the torch to another manager before it became too stale :banghead:

I only ever got to see him once and that was at DB10's testimonial. Even then, though his legs had gone, you could see what a true talent he was.

I won't give a shit when Maradona finally does the decent thing and shuffles off this mortal coil, but I was devastated to hear the news about Cruyff.

That's one of Goonersid and Augie's heroes you're talking about there, so show some respect. They still worship him after 1986 :D

Cruyf was indeed a genius and a character but caused Holland to lose the WC in 74 due to industrial action !

Long story short he led a strike of the players on the morning of the World Cup final against the Huns which was onlyu solbved a few3 short hours before Kick Off .
