Well offering evens is ridiculous, if you are that confident that we aren't going to win the league at least offer a fair bet. 6-1 is reasonable given Arsenals track record in the prem over the last 12 seasons, and the resurgence of Manure, Pool, City and Chelski this season.Redarmy wrote:nut flush gooner wrote:Agreed mate I've supported the club long enough to know we shouldn't get carried away. The big threat will be Pool in addition to City imo..
Think you are being optimistic of getting odds at 6-1, looked like it was just a straight bet...like for like
I have a mate who took a bet at 9-1 from another mate, that Donald Trump would win the US Presidential election. This was quite a few months ago before this slew of allegations came out about Trump and various women. When you make a statement you should be prepared to back it up at fair value rather than try to offer rip off odds. At those odds it was a perfectly acceptable bet, in fact it was good value for the geezer that took 9-1 regardless of the outcome.
That's what the bookies do, and even they wouldn't offer evens so why should I take DB10's bet offer at evens?
