I saw on the BBC website that Cazorla may miss the 2017-18 season as well due to his Achillies injury.
Time to offload him,and go for Marco Assensio.
We have carried too many players,on too much money, for too long.
Our club seems to confuse sentiment with loyalty, and also needs to learn that players have NO loyalty to any club.
Who would buy Cazorla? Same as Mertesacker - nobody is going to touch them with their injury problems and with the wages they're on. Of all of his fundamental faults in the last decade, it is Wenger's insistence on throwing wheelbarrows full of cash at these sorts of players which is the most difficult to justify.
Yeah and we've seen it all before - Diaby, Rosicky, RVP etc etc. as I've said if the club want to preach this "self sustaining model" crap then fine, we have to be very careful and clever with the (fans) resources we have and it is discraceful that Wenger is allowed to waste literally tens of millions £ of fans money on wages for perma-crocks because he feels some misplaced loyalty towards them.

It doesn't matter how good players are if they are injured most of the time they are of no use to the team.

If Sanchez is sold to City, then how does Wenger show his face in public?

Losing your top players to your domestic rivals is the ultimate insult. Doesn't it bother Wenger that our former golden trio of Cesc, Nasri and RVP all won titles at Chelsea, City and United? Yet when he had three players good enough to win titles at other clubs, Wenger did nothing with them.

I can tell you know, if Sanchez is sold, we will get the usual 'we dont need Sanchez talk', which is delusional. He is the best player to have played for this club since Henry, and like fuk we will compete with City next year if they have Sanchez, Aguero with Gabriel Jesus the potential to be the next Neymar. Does the fact that selling Sanchez to City ensuring City one of the most potent forward 3 in PL history a register with Wenger?

With Sanchez we can compete with City, selling him to City is waving the white flag with regards to competing with City next season.

The argument that we will lose him for nothing next year, so have to sell now just doesnt cut it for me. We could in fact keep him, and hope we have a great season and do enough to convince him to stay. But then doing that would require being bold, brave, and putting yourself out their. Which is something Wenger and the club dont do. Instead our manager operateds more like a nerd accountant who would panic at the idea of taking a risk.

The Arsenal social media team are playing a serious game of double bluff with Alexis Sanchez.

Every day it's Alexis this and Alexis that. On this day 2 years ago he wore this and on that day last month he scored that.

Alexis Alexis Alexis.

The current fanfare is that he signed for the club this day 3 years ago. They're ramping the shit out of the hashtags giving zero impression the lad is fucking off.

Something's gotta give...

The same way he always does - the man has absolutely no shame, he even had the cheek to tell Ferguson how good RvP was....

TBH after all the shit he has pulled over the last 10 - 13 years I cannot believe anyone is asking how he can show his face in public?

The man has a neck like a jockey's bollocks. He answers to NO ONE. He could give two flying fucks what mere plebs like us the fans think. :x

Perez,Debuchy and Gibbs haven't been taken to Oz so looks like they are all off,bit of a sickener really as Perez has been bloody useful in what limited time hes played,he certainly has an eye for goal and is twice the player of Walclott but alas as we all know wenger has his favourites,Debuchy was an underwhelming signing at the time but I was really impressed with what we saw, look really solid and good at going forward and can cross a ball too, such a shame like so many at Arsenal his time with us has been wrecked by injury,as for Gibbs pretty average at best but its always sad to lose one of your own, cany help but think that a decent manager may have gotten more out of him,in fact a decent manager would be playing Perez and Debuchy wouldn't have been injured either,Arsene really is a crunt

Come the end of the 'window', the so called 'warchest' will be largely untouched as he will have recouped close to 90-100m in players sold so whilst the AKB's soil their hello kitty panties at a 50m signing like Lacagoals (hopefully he won't be that), the reality is that even if we sign another couple of players for 20-30m each then we will have spent virtually zero...net. Not really ambitious is it! Ambition would be get Lemar and then a good CB for 40m, Jack Butland as a new no. 1 AND keep Sanchez!........THAT would show a little ambition at least! Sounds outrageous but sell the following shite...
Giroud - 20m
Gibbs - 12m
Debuchy - 5m
Walcott - 50p....... 8) ok, 20m
Coq - 6m
Chesney - 16m
Perez - 12m
Jenks - 5m

that could raise somewhere around 100m, we could actually easily afford everything else and the wage bill would probably still DROP!

Good to hear we have actually got rid of Sanogoals now though, free transfer to my local club Toulouse! They were shit before but now they are even worse!!

We can safely say that bellerin heading back to the whores.

Why else would he be getting an extended break
Cos he played into the latter stages (final) of the u21 tournament and deserves a break ?
Chambers & Holding going to the whores too ?

I would imagine that wages would be the problem as we are notoriously bad at over paying sh*te. Why is it Welbeck is never on anyone's list of players to get rid of? That's right, he runs around a bit.
