The January "He Looks Quite Good" Transfer Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Understand #afc interest in 20-year-old centre-back Konstantinos Mavropanos originally reported in Greece is genuine. Negotiations ongoing but fee likely to be in region of £2.2m. Not an immediate first-team addition. Loan to Werder Bremen more likely.

James Olley Evening Standard
Haha another huge signing that everyone in World football was chasing..

Only hope this has something to do with our new head of scouting, not Wenger.

Dunno whats worse looking to sign an unknown, or his name which most Gooners will have no chance of making up a song for.

Nice one Arsene.

Can I also say that there is absolutely no circumstances in which we should agree loan deals for giroud or wally or any of the other sub-standard shite we have that are costing the club a fcuking fortune - if clubs (like Southampton, shammers, toffee's etc) want these players, then they sure as hell can afford to buy the c.unts outright and eliminate the risk of the b**tards returning to us in 6 months time :censored:

I don't mind us loaning them if there is no other way to get shot of them, especially in Walcott's case who is going to pay him £120k a week or whatever he's on?, Wenger should have no say in contracts or transfers anymore.

In actual fact I think there should be a transfer embargo now until Wenger leaves, unless the transfer is being handled exclusively by our new "not a director of football" or someone other than TOF.

What is the point of keeping Wenger?, oh forgot he is Stan's "yes man".
