But the season ticket holders don't help matters when they just sit there quietly accepting this sh* t and then turn up the next week for exactly the same deal, never doing anything about it. When other clubs have issues with boards or managers they make it known. We just gave up. It's sad, but not the fault of season ticket holders.

Half of them don't even turn up, they just keep their season ticket and leave their seat empty for all but the "glamour" games and Tx to tourists or whoever if they can be arsed, I think most of these are the new age hipster fans that joined off the back of the success we had at the back end of the Highbury years.NickF wrote: ↑Sun Feb 25, 2018 8:54 pm

They are certainly part of the problem because they are filling the seats (financially) but will not be there to protest even if they were inclined to which I very much doubt, too busy on their f*cking iPhone's when they are there.

And what about the ones that do go week in week out and have been for years and have done nothing but just accept it? Easier to blame "hipsters and tourists" rather than look at the actual problem.sk-gtfo wrote: ↑Sun Feb 25, 2018 9:14 pmHalf of them don't even turn up, they just keep their season ticket and leave their seat empty for all but the "glamour" games and Tx to tourists or whoever if they can be arsed, I think most of these are the new age hipster fans that joined off the back of the success we had at the back end of the Highbury years.NickF wrote: ↑Sun Feb 25, 2018 8:54 pm

Not complaining about people not turning up, it's their decision and I totally understand it. What pisses me off is coming on here and being called a mug and,as a season ticket holder, blamed for the state of the club.NickF wrote: ↑Sun Feb 25, 2018 8:54 pmBut the season ticket holders don't help matters when they just sit there quietly accepting this sh* t and then turn up the next week for exactly the same deal, never doing anything about it. I've been on the protests. I held up a banner at the misguided "time for a change" protest and got dogs abuse for it. I posted on here that there were tickets available and we should turn up en masse for it...but no one did. I did the shit walk out (cant remeber which game). It was very successful for the Scousers.. .all that happened at ours was that i got mocked. I did the boycott last season (Sunderland game i think) and that acheived fuck all.
I'm not digging people out for not going..but maybe if more people turned up for these it would have been taken seriously. Unfortunately we'll never know. Not having a go at you mate as I know you were heavily involved in the protests.it just fucks me off coming on here and getting slagged off for going to matches.
Whilst I agree if the stadium was empty every week things would change...that will never happen. Someone did an excellent post on here during the week about shit attendances, it will always happen during shit times but people will still go (myself included) even of we were relegated...because I'm an Arsenal fan and will always want to see us play, such is the life of a football fan.
As I said before, I totally respect peoples decisions not to go...but don't act like you are making a difference (again not you personally) and criticise people who still attend. At the end of the day it's easyto give up when times are tough...but if you come back when times are good, is that not the definition of a "glory boy"... again (for the last time) not aimed at you.
Anyway this subject has been done to death and none of us know the answer so I'll leave it. All i ask is people stop calling me a mug because I'm a season ticket holder...i want Wenger out as much as anyone, i hate the state of the club as much as anyone...but I refuse to stop doing what I love because a shit manager and a crunt of an owner.

Dito. It's got that bad now that the wife doesn't know if they won or lost by my expression on my face anymore. After all these years I don't care anymore. I still have my memories of this club & that's all that matters. We'll be back.

Re: Carabao Cup Final v pimped small club | 16:30 | Sunday 25/02
Yeah point taken but what I'm getting at is like Herd says, losing breeds the losing mentality,it seem's rife and acceptable at the club, and I dont see fuck all changing with the poorest squad I can remember for years, and silly bollocks in charge
Re: Carabao Cup Final v pimped small club | 16:30 | Sunday 25/02
Tactically Wenger got it wrong. Surprised Jack was out wide left. He did alright but he's not that type of player. Ramsey should not have started. Welbeck on the left. Ozil and Jack were played out of position.
But is anyone surprised we lost? Nobody thought we would win, and a lot on here didn't want us to win.
City were average in the first 15 mins and we should have started with pace but we didn't. It was the way we lost not that we lost is the concern.

Is there a position, any position, in this formation that would suit ozil ? Sometimes you can play a player in a position that doesnt suit him and you can get away with it if he works hard to cover for his weaknesses, but ozil wont even work hard no matter where he is played

No sacked after 14 years of failure in the Prem. And dont say we cant compete with Man City Man Utd and Chelsea.Leicester fucking City competed with themDB10GOONER wrote: ↑Sun Feb 25, 2018 7:45 pmRevisionist bullshit. We were the better team in the 2017 cup final and only someone with a one dimensional but over riding agenda would even try pretend otherwise.Bob Bayliss wrote: ↑Sun Feb 25, 2018 7:38 pmLet's look back at this result at the end of the season.
I maintain that the fluky FA Cup wins in 2014 and 2017 (contract renewal years) played a significant part in allowing him to cling on in spite of all the evidence that we were declining year on year. Others said "nonsense, he would have stayed regardless".
If he does go this summer instead of completing his current two-year contract then I will respectfully suggest I was right. Maybe - just maybe - some of you who were saying "oooh, it's a cup final, let's forget about Wenger and have a great day out" will regret that you found it easier to be seduced into ignoring the bigger picture and saving us more years of purgatory and decline.
Watch this post - and if I am proved wrong feel free to say so. But if I'm right.....look at yourselves in the mirror and wonder what the hell you were celebrating.
Similarly if you honestly believe losing the league cup is gonna see him sacked you are delusional.
Christ the club is in crisis and we have fans on here that can't see past "look at me - I was right".
Sacked over the league cup.... don't make me fucking laugh.
22 years of failure in the CL.But we cant compete with Barcelona Real Madrid and Bayern in the year of the Invincibles Porto won it and a year later the worst Liverpool team won it
We were murdered today this wasnt an unlucky defeat this was a repeat of the game at Wembley two weeks ago
Wenger inherited half of Grahams team he will leave his successor a pile of horseshit
